You did nothing wrong. Some women just don't understand the benefits of repeat clients. (EOM)

I prebook like a good student with a visiting person from zoneville (maybe thats the prob).  Confirm a morning appointment for monday.  Send texts both sunday nite and monday morning to confirm. Crickets.  Our appointment time comes and goes. Finally get a text saying sorry, couldnt check in early...OK, been there, done that. I reply, sorry too, maybe another time.....no reply..... Here's my confusion,  I just see a new post  by her today. Evidently she is still booking.   Why didnt I get some sort of offer to make it up text? After all, it wasnt my problem to begin with.....where is my thinking screwed up? Old story, same ending....

I don't think you screwed up at all. It's probably her who could care less. The lack of communication could maybe mean she didn't feel you were worth her time.

She may not have offered you a "make up" or "special offer" because she didn't want to take that cut and instead could fill your vacancy with a full rate date instead of having to take the loss. Touring is costly and the goal is to make the trip as "worth it" as possible.

Keep in mind we are not obligated to offer a "make up" rate/offer when something comes up or happens preventing the date from happening. Most of us are happy to offer a make up or re-do session for a discount or something. I have only one person I am still trying to dial that in with myself - alas, it may not happen after a few missed connections (usually my error - oops). You know who you are if you're reading this IM2 heehee... I'll message you now. Heehee

But it fails me that providers fail to understand the difference between men and women when it cums to a failed date.
For the provider it is pure economics.  Dont say its anything else.
For the hobbiest it is time wasted (i block out 3 hours for a 1 hour date, it is the physiological build-up and crash, and lingering effects.
I was not looking for a freebie GK, just a little effort to make it right....like I said, I very well could have been a repeater, but not now.....

Didn't say "free-bie" but if a girl is offering 400/hour for her time and messed up the appointment you're expecting her to offer you a discount of some if re-booking... well my point is that your slot could be filled by a full rate guy instead of having to offer you anything. Would she rather make it up to you for 300/hour or book someone else for the 400/hour.

Guy cancels:
 - short notice: it's nearly impossible to fill that slot, thus the guy has cost her money both for her taking the time to get ready and set up as well as the lost business. The respectful thing is to compensate her in some way especially if you haven't had a 1st date yet. People I know well it's less concerning because I know I'll see them again and hope they will bring some bubbly on the next date as a sorry.
 - ample notice: frustrating but understandable. Gives the girl plenty of time to fill that slot or make other plans.

Girl cancels:
Wether it's a day before or an hour before - it sucks! You've built up the excitement, the anticipation, did the leg work to check her out, waited through screening and are finally set... But what are you REALLY out if it doesn't work out? Time and effort... but still a full wallet. It's more of an emotional blow it would seem from the guy side than someone having their livelihood affected.

Side note: you mentioned you could have been a repeat client... But isn't she visiting from AZ? Unless she visits every month it might be hard to repeat? I'm not sure of your status/timing/location/travel though, maybe you go to AZ a lot.

Cancelations happen - no shows happen.
Best not to get too bent out of shape about it either way.
It's kind of the nature of this business.

I had to cancel short notice recently because my cycle came early.
Believe it or not the guy gave me a little grief for it - to which I replied you're welcome to come over still... Haha. Sometimes it's unpredictable problems and other times it's someone being flaky or unreliable.

Chin up - it was probably for the best

Goldie, there's more we lose than just time and effort when a girl cancels.  When you decide to visit a girl, you must understand you're sacrificing everything else you could be doing with that time.  If the girl follows through, then that was a good use of said time.  However, a lot of guys here have a large opportunity cost to their time, and therefore lose a whole lot more than just the time for session itself.

You might be the exception, Goldie, but it blows me away that a provider wouldn't offer some sort of perk to the client after canceling a session last minute (if the girl provides ample notice, that should be adequate).  Offering an extra 20 or 30 minutes would go a long way.  It's just good business.

Why would I return, or even call the girl a second time after such an incident?  Too many fish in the sea.  Also, maybe a provider can chime in here, but how much does a bad review cost the provider?  If you anger the wrong client, you could wake up to bad reviews, negative forum posts, getting called out on the page towards the back of the internet (wink, wink), etc.  I've seen it all.

I dont want extra time, discount, or other incentive.  I just want respect for my time and effort.  Call, text, or email saying "i am sorry, can we reschedule, you will have my full attention and effort.  Thats it, thats all I am asking for...

my advice...

have some phone numbers of favorite ladies you have seen before, just in case. give them a call.  see if any are available at short notice.

it's worked for me.

not to mention at my age i've swallowed a $40 blue pill for no reason... happened to me last week.  even tho the lady was able to see me many many hours after the original appt, the pill had worn off and tho i had fun, i didn't have FUN!

she's inconsiderate, disorganized, and a poor communicator.
she couldn't check in early? gosh has she never stayed at a hotel before? More likely she had a late opportunity at her last venue and never got into town until the next day OR she was light on bookings and delayed her travel to save a night's hotel cost. In ANY case, she didn't bother to contact the OP to cancel or postpone. What was she doing when he tried to confirm?
After she offered an excuse, the OP even suggested a rebooking, she didn't respond, but later posted an ad. This all adds up to poor business practice.

then again, maybe her phone died, she accidentally deleted your text, your email went to her Spam folder, or her email got stuck in her Outbox.

GK, good to hear you only have one person on your "make-up" list.
