and from what I understand, Miami Companions had her out in under two hours - lucky her! There ARE some advantages to having an agency in your corner, especially one that seems to have their act together.

My advice: make sure you have an attorney on retainer. It's like driving without car insurance - actually much worse.

Whoever I decide (sometime) to write my 30 pages to, I'll be sure Mark Sullivan gets a copy. Then I'll tell him to book an appointment with me - he's too cute to waste, and besides, maybe he'll change his opinion! LOL! Yeah right..
..but is IS fun to think about..

What struck me, other than the speed in which the Miami Companions gal was able to "flee", were the reasons stated for the internet prostitution crackdown. First was the fact stated by Sgt. Sullivan that both johns and providers were being assaulted more often because of the ease of setting up appointments via the internet. If that's the case, then it's news to me. Hard to believe that there are more prostitution related assaults occuring and the news media is not all over it. Or for that matter, that LE is not issuing press releases about said assaults to curtail potential johns, especially since Sgt. Sullivan stated that most busts are first time offenses.

Secondly, it's sure nice to see that LE is protecting me from myself. Making the argument that LE is protecting someone from an "addiction" seems awful weak. The same argument could be made about anything-exercise, hobbies, horticulture, whatever. Better outlaw books because I think I'm addicted to reading.

in compiling my own 30 pages, and maybe others' comments also.

Maybe that's what I should do - ask people to PM, post, or email me their 'stories, opinions, comments, etc' to put together and send to someone who would be willing to 'open it' publicly and show actual truths of what this 'crime' is all about.
No names, no hints of personal info, just flat out comments like this, and maybe some why's and what the 'hobby' means to you. Stuff like that..

I REALLY don't understand LE's interest in what we do. It just doesn't make sense. Nothing about the waste of the taxpayer's money, the resources, the time, the whole bother (!) makes any sense.

Good post, Gordo.

the supposed solicitation would be a secondary or third or fourth depending on how many crimes they stacked on.

That would be REALLY tough to research in order to confirm that these truly occurred as Sgt. Sullivan is maintaining.

Another good search for the research oriented.

That was a good article. It's sad that we providers can't be protected in our job because of the laws in this country. If a girl is raped or robbed then most don't report it because they are afraid of being arrested themselves.
