Although times are hard on us all and we try all kinds of new marketing strategies, this is a business where we need to remain discreet.  I know many of my friends have a "bat phone", a pay as you go phone,  which is used only when hobbying and wife knows nothing about. That way if one of your previous playmates does give you a heads up text or dirty pic - you have CYA
Or you can remember to ask your playmates to, allow you to contact them only, in your arrangement.
I am glad you kept things under wraps but I can understand how it made you uncomfortable.

HOLY CRAP!

You must have been sweatin bullets?  Just hope she doesn't get a hold of your bill, and start checking numbers too...I've heard a few horror stories about cynical girlfriends, and/or wives going through the bill or address list on the phone...calling numbers to see who the person is.  How the heck would you deal with a situation like that?

And, a question for providers...if you were to receive a call like that...how would you handle it?  Play it off some how?  What does experience dictate in those types of situations?

I received two similar texts a month or so ago from a provider I'd seen who was going away for the summer and wanted me to check out her "friend" (with naked photo attached).

I was not amused.

I would not ever contact a hobbyist in any way, shape or form without thier consent. It's tacky in my opinion and shows that any lady that would lacks class and good judgement.

Recently had 2 providers that sent a few unsolicited texts. One sent naked pics and the other a porno clip with her in it. I'm sort of a low tech guy in a high tech world but from what I could tell they appeared to be blast texts to their entire phone list. While I enjoyed the pics and video, blew me away that someone would actually think sending a blast text with that content was in some way sensible. As a precaution, I have set my phone on a very low vibrate so I am the only one that would know of an incoming call or text. I also disengage my blue tooth in the car when others are with me so I don't get surprised by a call in which the number appears on the dashboard screen (imagine trying to explain that).  I immediately delete texts or calls that I don't want on there. I have sprint serive and about a year ago they changed to not sending detailed bills which helps for this purpose (you have to ask for details or go online). Lastly, I never leave my phone lying around. I guess the smarter thing to do is get one of those disposable phones but how do you explain that if it is ever discovered. As others have said, I think setting up an email for solely this purpose and corresponding that way only is the best solution.

What I learned from Tiger was that everyone here should get a hobby phone, should have a private place to keep it, or be savvy at interchanging SIMs or using Google voice creatively.

Also, remember that women have a much sharper sense of smell, so that's far more important in terms of taking precautions, in addition to the electronic trail.

If the text was from Cierra Reigns or Anna GFE or Hottie Pants or Christiana Delanai or Piper or some other hot babe I would respond NOW....all others can wait...

I once had a provider I had seen on a business trip leave me  a drunken, slurring mess  of a phone call at about 4am.  Never understood a word she said,  Thankfully, since I am not allowed to have my cellphone with me in the building I work in, my wife doesn't think it unusual that I usually leave it in the car - so we never heard it ring.  I've also been texted as well with pics sent.  

As others have said - get a hobby phone, turn it off, lock it in your toolbox in the garage and use it only when you have to.  Nothing worse to get a text from someone in the middle of a business meeting.

I'm sure that the classy ladies in San Diego would never do such a thing, and I look forward to potentially making the acquaintance of one of you the last week of September.....
