The SD Chargers are known for changing coaches and key player like panties.
To have a couple winning seasons in itself was great pick me up for the club.
So yes, they fall apart in the play off's. The big questions. Will Marty stay? Will they go back to there old way, or keep the growing team in tack?
To the releif of many Marty was to stay another year. Next thing you know .. He's gone!
Fall out over issues with AJ Smith. Once agian a hunt for a new coach.
Now we're already trading off key players with KC, where Edwards (our top tackler) will now be.
Once again, due to fall out with AJ.
Now I realize AJ is a top GM. He's been recognized for his executive skills and team building ability.
But I have to question some of his value when key people are being lost. Will starting over be the name of the game once again???
The main reasons for the departures due to issues with Smith. Are the wrong personel leaving? The ones that truly go out and win games.
Will the Chargers be team building again, so it will be years before we even see another play off?
This sucks. Can't we all get along. I thought it was all about putting one in the win colum.

Yessum, as long as that cheap weasely bastard Spanos owns the team. Norv Turner is a proven loser. I predict we'll have a completely new, and lousy, team in 2 years. The studs will leave for playoff/Super Bowl bound teams or get driven out by the cheap greek, and we'll have the wannabe's. Thank god for college football. BOOMER SOONER!

I've been a Colts fan for about 7 years, and so of course Payton Manning finally won a Super Bowl. So I'm just a casual SD Chargers observer, and I JUST CAN'T BELIEVE they'd fire him.

I mean, what are the Chargers going to do, hire someone better?

Marty would have been in 2 super bowls if it hadn't been for that damn Elway guy.

I think it would be funny if Al Davis hired Marty to coach the Raiders.

And about the Chargers everyone just take a deep breath. I know that AJ is an arrogant asshole to let Edwards (#1 tackler on the team) go. But the other players they released were non producers. As for N. Turner all he has to do is not screw this up, he is great for quarterbacks. And he runs a similar system allready in place.
