No- this post isn't related to theology, unless you attend the Church of Financial Intrigue. My question relates to non-credit card donations for time, etc. What is the ideal denomination (as long as it adds up to the agreed-upon rate)? Twenties, fifties, hundreds? Please note that I excluded ones, fives, and tens....
Rick - What I do is take her all my coins. That way I kill 2 birds with 1 stone because I save the silly Coinstar fees and I get rid of all those coins. JK - Seriously - I would say its all relative to the rate. Someone charging $500 wouldnt want 25 $20 bills but who cares - it all spends the same!
the goal orientated person in me has this poster in my bedroom, I calculated how many $20s (I picked the number $20 as most ATMs seem to give $20 vs. 100/50s) I would have to come up with total to get out of debt 1. 2. 3. etc... It makes things more exiting as I love crossing the numbers off so if I get a $20 bill it automatically goes into the bank and a number gets crossed off - very exiting!!! (easy to amuse lol). Now $100 and $50s just = a big neon flashing "Eva speeendd meeee" sign.
Now on the other hand it is MUCH easier to deposit larger bills than a ton of $20s in the ATM though.
.... for me a good mix of 100's, 50's and 20's or just 50's and 20's. For some reason i'd feel weird taking all 100's or just 100's and 50's to a bank.
