I have been looking at backpage.com recently, and it frustrates me that ad after ad does not post rates. Even Cityvibe has many ads with no rates. Does everyone agree that it's better just to post rates upfront? Because then when you call, you don't have to talk about money right away. Negotiating about money kills the mood. The only thing I can think of is that rates aren't posted because after the provider determines that you're not LE, she can ask you what you want, and the price will depend on that. Is there any other conceivable reason why someone wouldn't post a rate? Has anyone had a bad experience with this when calling? Or, for providers, when receiving a call?

unless the ad has a link to a web site, and the rates are shown on the web site.  I will never call a provider and discuss donations.

If your a TER member you can access my profile & see my rates there, so why post on all the ads on every site, or you can refer to my website to view my donations.

because ladies are hoping guys don't have VIP on TER to see their rates so they can try and charge more.

because they are desperate for money (some ladies USED to supply rates but as times get tighter so do the gents wallets) so having open-ended rates allow them to "work with the gent" for a rate that suites him but may be much cheaper for the same service as joe-shmo who saw the posted TER profile rate.

OR

she doesn't know what her time is worth so she asks for offers on her time.

OR

she is planning to upsell (backpage ladies with or without reviews hustling).

OR

she is new and is concerned posting rates could be LE dangerous.

OR

her pimp posts and the negotiates rates later over the phone/email.

OR

... who the fuck knows.



IMO

not posting rates is a concern (from a hobby point of view).
how do u know you aren't getting ripped off or upsold? how do u know if its her typical rate or if because u mentioned you were a doctor or something she is gonna try and gouge you...

if money is only for time then LE shouldn't be an issue (and if u screen properly it should be less of an issue).

MTq - Not sure but you seem to be very angry whenever you respond.  Maybe its just me and / or the threads I read but boy-o-boy, I would never even consider seeing someone so angry.

She does sound very angry and let's not get started on her responses to questions she posted on the LV board.
