Update on Sedona, and a message from her

Sedona underwent her surgery this morning, and is now in recovery, in stable condition.  She's awake and as alert as one can be after lots of those great drugs the docs have.  She's doing fine.  I will continue to update as I get information.

I spoke with Sedona last night and she asked me to post this on her behalf:

I've asked Fortitude to post this for me, in my absence, to all of you.

You know that I post often on the boards and although being as open on the boards, in many ways I'm really rather private.
I understood it when Johnny Carson said he's actually really shy, and it didn't make sense to many, but made perfect sense to me. After all, how can I speak in front of a room full of people about a topic, but when it's one on one and I'm the topic, I can't do it?
So, I guess what I'm saying is that I had no idea of this wonderous gesture that Suzanne had initiated with her post, and when I first saw it, I was so stunned. Grateful, of course, and so very touched, but also feeling uncomfortable being in that light.

Every year when the New Year comes, I seek out spiritually an area of growth that I really need to change in order to be as Whole as I want to be. We're all a product of the roads we've traveled, and know the damage that some things have caused us. Just last week while sorting through my heart and mind about many things, it became clear to me what This Year's was..

Confused about how I felt about the post, I consulted with a few and a couple of responses in particular hit home, directly with what 'it' was. While I love loving, demonstrating love, I cannot receive it. And their advice to me was to allow others to do so - to demonstrate their loving kindness and care, and let it be.

You've all done more for me than you know, and I thank you.

A warm embrace to you all.

Sedona
