Because SD is going to be VERY crazy, especially in the downtown area, you're going to want a ride even when you're sober. Parking rates skyrocket downtown during the CON, plus you're lucky if you even get a spot that's not a major hike to the event.  

So UBER is good but expect rates to be *higher* because this is a big event and they will be busier too.

This article is very informative on UBER pricing and you can bet they will "surge" for the next 4 days (and on race opening day in Del Mar). So plan ahead and check pricing.
