I've had this happen a while ago, and it happened again recently. So I thought I really should rant about this recent event.

I found a provider and gave her a call for her availability and she said she will be ready when I got there. So I drove to her incall location and called her back. She asked me where I was, and I responded with my location and then she hung up. Wouldn't answer her phone, or respond to any text's (weirdly enough it was at the same incall location both times!)

I'm not going to name names, When I found the ad and saw that she had a single review on TER (pretty positive review), and she has a decent amount of reviews on other review sites. After reading a bit is when I decided to contact her. I wouldn't have contacted her if it wasn't for the TER review. Yesterday I saw someone on BP with a warning that she rip's people off by not following though with any agreements they made over the phone, among other things.

Do a lot of providers do this to people? I mean I can see if something came up, let me know that shes no longer available... but to just hang up and just blow people off? I find that so rude, disrespectful, and extremely frustrating. Especially when it wasted my time, and gas to drive all the way there; Just to sit in the parking lot hoping she would call back.

Anyone else had similar situation happen?

Hope you Don't let a few bad apples ruin it for the good girls who really care about what they do...
Many girls here would just say "If u had chosen me, then this wouldn't have happened." Which really accomplishes nothing...
But I have faith that you are going find someone who is professional beforehand and who really gives you the experience of a lifetime!

Luckily it wasn't :) I was out of town on a business trip on my birthday (sadly) so I actually didn't get to celebrate.

But yeah, I've seen a few girls here and there. I guess it's just bad luck.

Yeah, I learned my lesson but I sometimes can't resist if I see a very good review on TER. I'll probably start holding back on single reviews and waiting to see.

isn't a bad thing, as long as you check to see the history of the reviewer. If he's got a lot of reviews of well known escorts and some TER white list refs, you should be fine. However, if you want to wait until the provider has more reviews, that's your call. There are a number of veteran SD hobbyists I wouldn't hesitate to follow, based on a single review a provider had written by them. .

And I agree with that. I've seen a few providers that has no reviews, or one review on TER. I do some googling on providers with no reviews before I see them and I always try to be careful about doing so. but even doing so, I may be missing a great provider. Let me give you an example:

One of the providers I see once in a while doesn't advertise online (and she doesn't want any reviews posted about her), I was refereed to her by a friend and shes very low volume and she LOVES spending hours just hanging around and talking. Her donations are per pop rather then per hour (and shes a GFE type). Shes very busy with a full time job so I may get to see her maybe once every 2 months, if that. If she advertised I would have the same doubts on her looks and probably think their fake (old pics) and move on. So, On the one way I'm taking my chances on the other I could find an amazing provider.

So yeah, who knows. I haven't decided yet what I'll stick to yet.

depends.  reviews are one thing.  hobbiest discussions are another. theres a gal on EROS right now that looks attractive with a great rate.  but once you google her email there is a discussion on RB about her being a rip-off.  sooooo, unless you are a paying member of a site with a local board and you can ask other reputable hobbiest what the "real" story is, it's always a gamble.  and yes, I have had it happen several times, even with good reviews.  sucks (figuratively).
