Something along the beach, with maybe a balcony or patio near the ocean. Not too upscale but not a dump either. Maybe something with a large tub.

These'a a place, just north of Crystal Pier, I think it called Pacific Terraces.  It has both a pool and jacuzzi in the courtyard.

Tower 23 is also another good choice.  Although it is more pricey, there is a lot of action in the JARDN bar on weekends! If your smart, you'll be seeing more than just a green flash there!!

Of course, if you really want to get fancy, nothing can beat the ambiance of the Hotel Del Coronado.

It's kinda upscale, but women love it, especially the rooms with the special tubs.  If you go there, I know some girls, who love that place and you could bring over there, and I'm sure you'll get laid.

If you like downtown the Marriot is nice.
