Look at Club Hombre, http://www.clubhombre.com/  , where there's a board dedicated to "trip buddies." Among other things. Registration is required, but it's free and immediate. I swear by it. Great discussions going on there, on all sorts of unrelated topics; great info on Costa Rica, Tijuana, many other travel locales, the business in general; not really a board for info on action in the USA.
