I know of three providers who left the biz because of entrapment busts. They shelled out in the neighborhood of $5K to get that "ticket and small fine".
Depending on what SDPD and the DA decide to pop you for, you could face 30/60/90 days in jail and registration as a sex offender. They tend to be willing to plea bargain down, they use the psychological edge that you don't want your real name and other personal information splashed across the news--and yes, teh local SD media LOVE prostitution stories, makes great ratings.
Ask any of the SD long time residents about the incident in Lemon Grove several years back.
Although you may visit SD regularly, you don't live hear. You don't have to face the daily hassles of LE in SD county. What about OC? I hear they're pretty persistent up there as well.
LA has ALWAYS been more permissive and cavalier about sex. It's such a geographically dispersed area for one thing. Also, the proximity of SD to TJ tends to promote an unwritten attitude of "Let them go across the boarder for that kind of activity, we don't want it here".

It is EXACTLY the reason why everyone's response to you is appropriate.
Educate yourself and spend some time looking up the information and double checking the boards. Use the find message icon on the bottom of the message screen in order to make certain that the girl you choose is right for YOU.
If you don't, you'll end up going to the entrapment team's site and you'll find yourself needing bail money.
If you want to call us giving San Diego a bad name for making sure that you don't get a recommendation from one of the lurking BAD BOYS, oh well. Nobody that understands the atmosphere is shedding any tears for you.

Look, it's obvious that Wonhunglow stumbled into a hornet's nest here. But Jai has simply made it clear that our caution - some say paranoia, has driven many of us long time San Diego posters to a guilty until proven innocent type of mindset. And it's a valid point.
Wonhunglow: the fact is, we in San Diego ARE paranoid, but there are good reasons for it. The cops here in S.D. are running aggressive entrapment scams, confiscating cars, (whereby, even if you're proven INNOCENT in court, you are S.O.L. for 10% of the value of your vehicle).
And they are CERTAINLY using this BB to collect information to use against both hobbyists and providers in designing their next stings. So THAT's why you were jumped on. It is true, that if you had perused the history of this board carefully, you'd have uncovered this. But recognize that there was a legitimate reason underlying the paranoia which led to people attacking you.
And, BTW, I would suggest that Jai would make a very nice lady to visit when you're here in San Diego. I've attached her link
Although I have yet to see Jai, I have had a chance to converse with her...and Sdstud is right, Jai is a warm and caring lady who has been around here, in S.D., for quite some time.
Although there may be good reason to be a bit paranoid around these parts, perhaps we should turn it down a notch for our own good least anyone get too personal about it all!
This thread was OBVIOUSLY a satire, or parody, of the post by wOnhunglow after he threw his little tantrum because he got spanked for asking for information that he could have gotten by putting forth a little effort on his own. Now, that being said, has anybody else noticed how this board has gotten slow and boring? That's because everybody, me included under my real name, can't wait to pounce on the dip-shit who asks for the typical assinine information like the original Wonhunglow. That kind of reply has taken over this board.
IMHO, a witty jab to an uninformed question is harmless. Constantly piling on by 5 to 10 posters just sets a negative tone. I'm sure on a daily basis we all get users in the real world trying to get us to do their work for them. You don't rant and rave against them, you just semi politely refuse and go about your business.
Let's remember that not everybody understands the SD environment so we should assume the dumb questions are comming from uninformed and naive sources. Time to move on and make this board interesting again.

Personally, I think these kinds of posts are actually quite funny!! You have some egotistical guy from L.A., with just one review, who asks a question which is easily researched by anyone with VIP access. I think Wonhunglow got what he deserved. He is lucky my compadre, Senor "El Rey" Alphonse didn't tar & feather his ass and send him back home to his mommy.
As for Jai, I know you have a wonderful reputation and are based up in L.A. (or so I am lead to believe), but the TER Discussion Boards operate a lot differently down here in "Dog Patch Land" due to the good old boys in blue. You do remember them, don't you? They exist to arrest the likes of you and us in case you forgot. And they do their job real well down here, too. They don't have as many locos to deal with here like they do in L.A. I am sure that if you ever came down to visit this ol' backwater hillbilly town, you'd develop a mighty fine appreciation just how these "good ol' boys" down here take care of their ladies as to sharing relevant information that might put someone at risk.
I may not be "100% certain" or even "have a law degree", but I know of what I speak.

I'm with you QP. The retorts to these requests are funny but I do agree that there is some degree of piling on that is a bit superfluous. Although my posts can seem a bit harsh at times, there usually lies an undertone of instruction and self help in them. I'm a firm believer in the old adage of "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach him to fish and you feed him for a lifetime." Of course there is no excuse for laziness but there is a cure for being uninformed. I attempt to address both problems in my posts.
The other issue addressed by QP is looking out for the local ladies. Personally, I won't give out ANY information about anyone without asking the ladies permission first and thouroughly researching the TER background of the one making the request. I receive quite a few requests every month in TER PM's and one of my private addresses (How they get my other e-mail addresses I'll never know). Most are ignored but if they're upstanding members of TER then a PM or e-mail will go out to the lady in question asking permission to give out information. Some of the local girls know that I do this. Surely I can't be the only one.
I agree NM, it is fun to ride the goofballs who post dumb and/dangerous questions. However, if that's all you do, then what have you added to this board to make it more interesting? With all due respect, because you're a long time poster here, when was the last time you originated a post? Same for me.
The issue I'm trying to raise is that this board has gotten dull and boring compared to where it used to be.

That is a majority of what I do. I'll give you that one but I also provide links, search tips and expose the occasional potential ROB or agency girl posing as an independent. BTW, I originated 2 threads back in January.
Let's face it, originating a thread doesn't necessarily constitute the pinnacle of contribution on this board. Frankly, I'm just not that interested in what the membership here prefers given a choice of tits or ass or whether providers wear panties or not. That type of post along with the occasional provider advertising either a visit here or a special rate or availability is typical of original posts.
I too have noted a general decline in the excitement level of this board but I disagree that the content of the posts is the sole culprit. Part of the problem is that we don't have a full time moderator and posts are delayed from appearing for long periods. This isn't exactly a conducive environment for moderated individuals who actually have something to say. I know that GND has her hands full moderating several boards including ours and is doing the best she can. The "dull" appearance of our board won't change until we have someone to quicken the pace here.
Ditto! The board has been so lame that I sometimes go for days without looking up new threads. (Yes, I am an addict). It has been very rare that i have seen a post or thread that has caught my eye and inspired serious thought. Just my 2 cents.
