Was not impressed and parts sounded a bit exaggerated.

An entertaining read however.

I read half of it. It doesn't seem anything like the ladies of TER. Or at least I hope they aren't in that situation. But I'm a  rookie still.

Exaggerated - Your VERY naive about addiction and mental dependency along with tragic events in a persons life and the toll they CAN take. SERIOUSLY you are !
Leave the prostitution aspect out of it all together and then rethink your naive response !

Its quite obvious you have never witnessed addicition on this scale. I HAVE !  Its difficult for all involved. When do you say enough is enough and "give up"?
Its just as painful to "give up" on a loved one . Maybe more so as you are dealing with the heart ache w/o the use of stimulants . You keep trying to help with the same results - quite like the insanity of addicition only you are sober.
Ultimatly your emotions get the best of you and you try again................

Trust me - If you would have experienced this level of addiction , and truely LOVED the person ,you would have NEVER responded to this article wit such insensitive coments !

Actually I have cared for people with dependency issues, thanks, and that is why the story reads falsified to me.

Boring article. I definitely won't be wasting my money on the book.

The practice of compassion, empathy, and non-judgement, is something that always makes the world a little better.... I read it and wanted to give that girl a hug!

Sad article though, it just illustrates the many levels and shades of this complicated industry.......

It was kind of slow but it does give another side of the story I don't think we see too much (thank god) in TER land. Having a daughter that age I'd be horrified.

OK # 1 .........We are not talking DEPENDENCY issues ........We are talking straight up ADDICTION ! HUGE difference ! I admit to being a word nazi, but that is the word you used "dependent".

#2 - "fallsified" is not a word ! Again, sorry for being a word nazi but it indicates a education and inteliigence level to me. The words you choose speak volumes of intelligence and education- to me and every person you interact with on a daily basis .

#3 you WANT facts to "add up " to what YOU experienced, and if they don't, then they are "falsified". Sorry, every addicition is unique to the individual .

I stated earlier to leave the prostitution out of the equation but I don't feel you did that- we are talking straight up adiction here, not the product of the consequences. That being said, you want to classify every case of addicition to prositiution and what you ecperienced and how they are "wrong".

Honey , EVERY "addicition" and experience is unique, but you want to lump them all together to YOUR experience !!!  OPEN YOUR MIND !!!  There are no "hard facts" to addiction !!!

You are VERY narrow minded and wanting to lump every "addiction" to what you have seen. OPEN your mind !!!!  It will help you understand people, and life ,instead of questioning ONE persons story of her friends stuggles ! You want to lump them into YOUR experience and "question" their legitimacy !

COMPASSION and LOVE for all human beings

I saw it very quickly when I entered this " hobby ".
Been on my mind and a struggle ever since .......SIGH.....................

Was first off , right out of the gate, YOU ...........
Are not impressed ............
Exaggerated ...........
And ENTERTAINING .........What the FUCK ?!?!

I first thought about compassion , greatfulness , sympathy , LOVE , understanding, self diginity , family , friends , the unfettered love of my dog , the list is long .................

You however come out of the gate that your not impressed by an addicts problems.
You think the story is exaggerated ..........
And you think the persons problems are ENTERTAINING - WHAT THE FUCK !

You have some serious soul searching to do !

How sad it is. I believe the Demons are created in us when we as young get humiliated and destroyed and we will have to live with them always. This story is extreme and as I understand it one incidence can be enough to ruin a life.  How important it is for our young people not to be humiliated and as Eva I feel she should be hugged and cared for because she will always live with her demon. Let`s try to learn from it and understand how easy it is to ruin a soul.

After reading the whole story, it almost reminds me of those afternoon school special, something like "Dawn, portrait of a teenage run away". Some things never change.
