the link to her Yahoo profile has to go through the "adult content" login screen. If the link doesn't go directly to the site it is deemed bad. I had my review of Amber refused initially for that reason. I asked Amber to delist her profile as adult and resubmitted. It went right through afterwards. Somehow, I get the feeling that Debbie won't be delisting her profile. It sounds like publicity on TER is the last thing she wants.

Now both of Debbies reviews are down?
Staff what gives, both those reviews where accurate.

But her provider profile is still up. Maybe she is busy conducting "clincal seman withdrawls" at a health care facility now.

Sedagive, my good man, what gives????

I have no idea why the reviews are gone, but there could be any number of reasons for it, including her requesting that they be removed.  Staff doesn't pull reviews without a good reason and if he wants to share that information with us, he will.  Sedagive.

Yes, what does give.  The management seems to be making decisions differently every day now.  Mine said bad website but its still up and the same one the other one used.

I'm confused as to what is what around here anymore

ccybersurfer, this is a privately owned site and like any privately owned website, the owners decide the content, not us.  Unless you know all the facts, I find it interesting that you would automatically assume that the reviews are gone because of censorship.  As I said in my other post in this thread, there could be any number of reasons why the reviews were pulled.  If Staff feels it's appropriate to share this information with us, I'm sure he will.  Sedagive.

So Sed, what are the criteria/guidelines for deleting posts/ reviews? Are they followed consistently? I have seen posts, in fact, the whole thread deleted for no reason and without explanation... sounds like censorship to me!

Well, the guideline for deleting posts is at the top of this page.  Yes, posts and whole threads are ocassionally deleted, but not "for no reason" as you stated.  Just because you don't know the reason doesn't mean there isn't one.  Next time it happens, all you have to do is ask why and I'll be happy to let you know.  And I try to be very consistent when following the guidelines.  Regarding reviews, as I've previously stated, there can be any number of reasons for reviews being taken down, and for you to assume it's because of censorship when you don't know all the facts is shortsighted at best. Sedagive.

but as he has said, there are other factors which the Staff take into consideration whether to delete a post or reviews which Sedagive has no control over. So, please don't shoot the messenger, he is just doing his thing!

Sed, I know you're doing your job well... it's just that sometimes TER ignores hobbysts' rights to post or review just because a provider objects or says something... which i think it's unfair! freedom of speech OR censorship... you choose.

I have a different point of view.  If a provider doesn't want reviews, that should be her right, with one exception.  If she's a rip off, her reviews should be posted no matter what.  There are lots of high quality providers with no reviews that get lots of business through word of mouth.  This debate has been around for a long time and I've posted on several of the threads stating my opinion.  I think it's unfair to have reviews of ladies that don't want them, and you think it's unfair to keep reviews off of TER when the ladies don't want them. It's not just one or the other, freedom of speech or censorship, it's also consideration for a fellow human being and respecting their wishes. I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree on that one.  Sedagive.

well, lets say I dont agree with your post (the one I am replying to now), can I say to you, Sed please take your post off, coz I disagree with it. Or say somebody, lets say Mr.A posts something about me like, I am close minded, short sighted, blah blah blah, can I ask you to take the message off cuz' I dont agree with Mr.A's opinion about me... see what I am saying? There is limit to respecting other people's wishes and there should be a balance between hobbyists' rights to know and post and providers' objection.

Besides, the real issue here is the lousy service and disrespect Jmy and SDMIKAL were shown by a provider who thinks she will now be clever to have those reviews removed so no one will know about the true quality of her "services."

I think Sed touched on this before but it bears repeating. TER is a privately owned site. "Freedom of Speech" issues have nothing to do with and do not apply to a private site. "Censorship" is something they can practice and do on occasion for their own reasons, some of which we may know and some we may not. We may disagree with TER policies about posting or deleting some or all of a provider's reviews... but we cannot legitimately cry "freedom of speech" fouls. Sorry. It's their site and they can pretty much run it any way they want. Our choices: stay and forget it, use different boards or start our own. If enough people are displeased and leave, TER will either change their policies or fold.

The problem is that you have to have a Yahoo membership to enter this site.  In other words, there is no direct link.  She knows this and, I believe, did this intentionally to stop from getting reviews.

Because of the controversy surrounding both Debbie’s reviews and their removal, I hope staff will either re-instate the reviews or share with us the reason they were deleted.

Additionally, I think the reviews should either be re-instated or Debbie's profile deleted.  The reviews seem accurate to me; however, I think the issue goes beyond the accuracy of the reviews.

Hobbyists read TER to obtain information about providers. In all of its actions I hope staff will give first conconsider it’s primary mission of providing hobbyists with information about providers.  It seems to me that if staff removes the reviews (good or bad) regarding a providers yet leaves the profile then it is failing to accomplish its mission and doing a disservice to it subscribers.

My 0.02 worth based on what I know--and the bigger picture.

When the review was originally submitted, she had it listed as ADULT.  When she noticed that the review she asked me to give wasn't up she send me an IM asking why.  I told her it was rejected bacause of the ADULT listing.  She changed it (in fact asked me to walk her through it, which I did gladly) and I resubmitted.  The review was accepted.  During that time there was one other review submitted.

After realizing she didn't like the reviews, she changed back to adult.  Although she didn't tell me why, I will speculate that it was because she didn't want any more and realized the link between no reviews and an ADULT listing on Yahoo.

I asked Staff why the removal, and he stated because the site was no good.  I see many reviews for girls who have a site that has since been changed or removed, yet the reivews stay.  I asked one more time why, and Staff was firm that the reviews would not be posted.  Fine.  I'm not out to damage anyone, just to play the game and help others along do the same.  I think there is some confusion as to whether or not it was ever a legit site, but I respect Staff's decision.  As Sedagive said, we don't always know the real answer and its possible there is more to it than I know.

Why was she so angry?  She asked me about TER.  I answered her questions.  She asked to see some reviews.  I showed her some reviews of various ratings.  I was absolutly respectful of her and her home and didn't appreciate the statement that I was less than gentlemanly (ask any provider I have reviewed and see if I have been anything less).  She asked for a review, not once but twice.  I made sure not to break any TER rules (please tell me if I did).

She was infuriated because she thought she was the queen and I was a chump.  I was ready to walk and never say a word, but then came the degrading talk about me and my hobby, nagging at me like I was a dog to do her bidding.  Then came the attitude of extreme and absolute superiority, where she could demand of me do whatever she asked.  She told me to give her a good review.  Sorry, homey don't play that.  I call a spade a spade and that didn't fit her plan.  In the end I got the last laugh (as did some of you) and she is now the chump.

No revenge here, so please don't get the wrong idea.  She didn't have a site that was legit for a review and I had no intention of doing so.  She changed the site specifically so she could see her name in lights.  As always, I was nothing less than honest.  I said what I liked, and what I didn't.

I just thought you should know the rest of the story.

Hey JMY,
There is no doubt in any of the TER hobbyists minds that you acted with nothing but complete courtesy and respect of her. Both of her reviews were clearly indicative of just who and waht she real is all about as a person and as a provider.

Jmy, you seem to be a classy guy and I applaud the way you have conducted yourself. Besides, that was one hell of a funny review!! I just wished someone printed it out so I can reread it and laugh like hell again.

Gents, let her remove her reviews. Who really cares. I doubt any of us who have seen the reviews are going to see her. But never let us forget who she is in case some poor newbie asks about her again on these boards.

hy im new and im really enjoying this. who are u referring to. also have u heard anything about tina from sd adult directory
