You are likely thinking of Sushi Ota.

Having arrived in the beautiful SD area. I was hoping someone would steer me in the right direction, to some good Sushi & Thai Restaurants.  And possibly some venues with LIVE Blues/Old school rock?
Any & all feedback is greatly appreciated.

You HAVE to try RA sushi in downtown San Diego on Broadway Street. They have a great happy hour too! As for LIVE Blues bar you would probably like CROCE's or Patrick's II on F street (also downtown)! Hope this helps. Enjoy your stay here!

Thank you, doll. I appreciate the feedback. ;)

Kaylyn,  I wasn't around this afternoon to take you up on your offer. ;)

y all means, If you or Annabelle are free this evening to join me for Sushi I'd like that very much.  My treat! ;)

Thanks everyone for the feedback. It's greatly appreciated. ;)

Great combination!  It may depend where you're staying.  Patrick's II in Gaslamp has great live Blues and Kio's is terrific sushi within walking distance.  Kazumi's in Hillcrest is top notch but I don't know of blues in Hillcrest to companion it with.
Hope that helps!
