SAN DIEGO – Two young Los Angeles women were robbed early Thursday morning in their motel room by robbers who knocked down one of the women and threatened both of them, police said.
The incident occurred shortly before 1:30 a.m. at the Comfort Inn Suites in on Hotel Circle South in Mission Valley, police Sgt. Rich Nemetz said.

The two suspects gained entry into the victims' room by knocking on their door and claiming to be “room service,” Nemetz said.

When the victims opened the door, the robbers forced their way in, knocked down one of the women and threatened to harm both of them unless they surrendered their money, Nemetz said. The victims were described as students in their 20s.

The two suspects took several hundred dollars from the women, then fled, the sergeant said.
