Tuff month, tuff month.....

Where has the year gone? Just a month and-and-a-half until Christmas...and while Christmas is my favorite holiday it just can't come at a worse time. Everything and I mean EVERYTHING has worked out coming due in December. Mortgage on the San Diego homestead...Payment on the retirement property... Prop taxes... Home insurance...Auto insurance on five vehicles as well as 3 of the five having the registration all coming due in the same momth...and then there's presents, presents, presents for loved family and friends. So...
Add this and this and that and this and that....times 2, carry the 4...Hmmm...nothing,zilch,nada,goose egg. Zero discretionary income left for entertainment expenses and I was SOOO looking for some quality companionship this long loooong upcoming month.

So, where is this line of dribble going...?

Well, I notice that there is more than a handful of L.A. ladies that accept credit cards and/or PayPal for services rendered. I was just wondering if there are any of San Diego's finest, (providers...not LE,) that ask that familiar grocery check-out line...
"Paper or plastic?"

Hell, after a month on strike I wonder if any of those who ususally ask, "paper or plastic" are needing a little extra money.  I always have been a pretty strong union supporter... can't think of a better way to help out the "strike fund".

Christmas almost always hits us at the wrong time of year - actually, it hasn't changed, but I swear they time all the biggest bills to hit us right around Christmas!
All of us can relate to having the property taxes, and even the car regs, and insurance - myself included.

To first answer your question, some ladies do take PayPal and credit cards, but you can always get a cash advance on your credit card (altho have to pay a fee), and still pay the ladies in cash who don't offer credit cards.

I know many of us ladies could use a man to help with some of the honey-do's, and if you're a handy guy around the house, or with computers maybe a lady will give you a hefty discount if you fix her leak, hang some shelves, or install her new disposal, who knows? All women love a handyman - good way for you to do good, and save some cash! Besides, a handy man is sexy! LOL!

I finally got to the point where I added up my expenses that were yearly payments (ones we mentioned), prorated them over the course of the year, and set aside that exact amount every month. Then, when December rolls around, I'm no longer (extra) stressed to have it all pile up on me, and Christmas, too! The money is already there! That has helped tremendously.

I don't know if you're a single man with no kids, or married with 8..
As far as Christmas goes, there comes a time when you may have to put your foot down and realize that presents, presents, present$ is not what it is all about and start a new tradition - a more meaningful tradition for you and your family. Have a chat with your family and let them know that to incur more debt and more stress - and debt is the 'gift' that keeps on giving! - is not the best way for you to be the family's provider. The best gift you can give is the gift of time, and of yourself. Check out the book, "Simplify your Life" and read it. It's fast reading. You and the kids can creatively come up with 'gift certificates' for your wife - handmade on the computer, or with crayons and markers (if they are little) for foot massages, a picnic on the beach, etc. And the same with your kids - you give a gift certificate for a day alone with your son, doing whatever he likes doing, etc. I'm trying to be brief, but you get the idea.

Five years ago, my family put a halt to the Christmas festivities and have kept to it. While everyone is stressed about all the festivities and expenses, we are all relaxed knowing we don't have to deal with that. We keep it so simple, and it is so much more meaningful. We have a simple dinner, some champagne and a lot of relaxation. If we exchange any gifts, they are the simple favorite bottle of wine, a CD, bottle of perfume, book, etc.

Hope this helps..

sedona offers some sound advice.  as for your extra curricular activities... check around with some of the ladies you know or want to know.  I recall a lady not too many years ago had on her 'donations' page that cash or gift cards for staples, frys, home depot, etc. were acceptable.  You can then charge those and not have to pay the cash advance fee.

Hope it all works out for the best.

The gift card idea..............wow! that is great....a card for toys r-us or Macys or Vons ( endless)......this would be a win win situation.

Just my personal opinion.  But if you have to use a credit card for a session; then you can't afford it.

Credit Card debt is the worst of debt.

Bond

I must agree with Bond007. If you have to charge it, then you can't afford it and you are really thinking with the small head. That debt will come back to haunt you and take away from the session.

I let my little head as well as my ego(funny how they work hand in hand)rack up some credit card debt last Winter/Spring. When Fall arrived this year it brought some job problems for me.
If Santa thinks I've been bad and puts coal in my stocking I'll use it to heat my home with.

god damn! i'm usually the one with warm feelings here, but jesus christ am i the only one here who desn't feel all warm and fuzzy because this guy can't get laid due to having to pay taxes on his two houses, five vehicles and purchase christmas gifts? pal you need a reality check and believe me you don't have to go far. just take a ride around san diego county - some people have real problems out there! so instead of whinning like a spoiled child get your broke ass out there and volunteer some of your time to a wothwhile charity. When you're finished you can go home and masturbate in the euphoria of knowing you did something other than for yourself. of course once again this is just my $0.02.

While no, you don't deserve anyones ity and maybe you could use a reality check or a moment of reflection on how good you have it, Thanksgiving is right around the corner and you sound like you could use a little bit of "You" time. Afterall that is what roviders are here for and while seeing providers is not a right, as some guys would like to beleive, it is a privledge that for some, is nearly a necessity.

I have found that the hobbyist with high levels of responsibility and the character that goes with being able to meet those resonsibilities are also very stressed as it is difficult to juggle those things and you sound like the type that can be hard on yourself when you don't meet your own high expectations.

Maybe those who are giving you a hardtime have a point and you maybe even know that they do. I personally don't care about all that though as I tend to just want to concentrate on the issue at hand and solve the problem, or provide a positive solution to the difficulty you seem to be having here.

While alot of providers will accept paypal and credit cards those here are right about that not necessarily being a good thing to do if you are resorting to it as a regular hobbyist.

This is what I would do if I were in your position. I would offer a trade , not for services etc. but for items bought with that CC at the local computer store. I for one always need soemthing new for my system, it is easily exlainable as a charge and for many it is tax deductible as well. The only hitch could be any issues if returns are necessary, but it could work out to be a win , win for everyone and you could do a bit of X-mas shopping while you're at it.

If I am interesting to you I would be more than happy to work that out and I am sure that there are a few others that could use some GOOD INTERNET SECURITY SOFTWARE etc.

Just a suggestion as I am a huge computer geek and need a new fat hard drive dedicated to sharing my enormous music and video collection with my Club Ginger guys.

Hi Just thought I would ask any of the providers if they needed a computer workstation for their computers, or any other woodworking skills. I have owned a cabinet/ woodworking shop for quite awhile. maybe we could work something out. email me thanks

The girls need to shop this month, too, so definitely offer shopping as a GIFT..

I only ever accepted gifts when I dated and I definitely would have accepted a shopping spree on your credit card as a gift. A certificate bought at any of the westfield malls that is good for a store credit in the mall or a specific store gift card would be a great way to fill the white envelope and easily purchased with your credit card.

Never hurts to ask gently, just don't also ask for a discount, it would be appropriate for you to make that for the full rate.

Actually, we're better than ever after a tough month!~~  You guys sure do have fragile egos!!  I'm learning alot being in a monogamous relationship.

Thanks for thinking of me though!

You'll be the first to know if I go back to serial dating.  I doubt that, but never say never.  (Grad school is going to cost an arm and a leg!~~hopefully I'll get all the good government grant money!)
