Is anyone going? Basically this is how it works: You launch in an intertube with 30,000 other people and float down the river and drink and watch girls flash their tits from the docks and their rafts.
I recommend having a true intertube where your ass is in the water to keep cool. It's a damn fun weekend. The casinos go off at night and Bikinis is fun also.
Our approach to the event is being contemplated now. I'll let you know this weekend. I think the float is on Saturday and there will probably be a foam party the night before.
I think the plan is to float past Big Bend and land on the west side of the river just beyond Big Bend and cook some food. There is no good reason to land at rotary park. It's a madhouse there with everyone trying to get off the river and you only get some hot dogs and a T shirt. It's not worth it.
Even though they have room at their house, my best friend's wife will not be comfortable with having other's stay there. So if you want to go, I would suggest booking a room at one of the casinos. My buddy has no problem with my hobby and would like to meet everyone. He is furiously energetic and party and athletic, but she sets the rules and knows what "I am up to". I have been the "third wheel" for a couple of decades now. It's major chill with those two.
