Like we don't have bigger problems in our country than a man biking to have a great time with a happy willing lady. To have your life ruined over this is not right.
Not the singer . . .

going after ACTUAL human traffickers. That's my first thought.
This is the policy of "low hanging fruit." These stings are easy for LE to set up. An ad on CL or BP, a motel room, taped phone calls, two minutes of undercover meeting with a female detective. The elements of the crime are a sex act for money. Bing, "book-em Danno."
There is no need to send these would be clients to jail for the night but the DA wants publicity as a "crime fighter" during an anti-male wave in this country. To ad insult to injury, the clients are pressured into admitting that all these women are "victims." Remember that this activity is legal in Mexico, Canada, the UK, Germany and Spain.
Yes, some women are coerced into prostitution. They are often young, dumb, and/or drug addicted. That is and should be a crime. Go after the pimps and organizations importing them.
These arrested clients are mostly harmless but horny guys. This has been going on for millennia. The solution is willing and able women who are paid fairly and have a safe location. I would guess 95% of clients wish the best for the provider and are contracting for a service. Often regulars get genuinely friendly with providers.
Use TER to scope out established providers. Stay away from BP only ads.

That newspaper site is atrocious.
Also, it's typical government behavior to waste money and not actually help people.
Looks like LE focusing on Johns lately. Screen screen screen gentleman! If no reviews, no Johns. That will help keep everyone safe. Think about it, if a post with a hot young lady was real, but no link to reviews, it's a big red flag to me. If she was real there'd be a hundred reviews on TER. If she looks TGTBT, she is. Remember LE doesn't ask for references, that's your first sign, then they ask what you want and say how much, your second sign, when you get there they ask if you are the same guy that called, then the cuffs come out even without any act in furtherance of the trick. This can happen to anyone especially if thinking with the wrong head. Be safe.
because when they're horny, they get careless, and miss red flags that would normally keep them away from something suspicious. In the multiple busts a few days ago all over California, they caught three times as many Johns as they did pimps. I always thought the Johns were smarter than the average pimp.
There's an old saying . . . . "God gave man a brain and a penis, but only enough blood to run one at a time."
I think the message here is that this "trafficking task force" is a big deal. It has been in operation for several years. Assistant DA making well publicized announcements about its intentions. With lots of resources including cyber tools at its disposal. Took down one amphibian. Not only is BP at risk but so are other display pages. A girl's website is by definition a solicitation and can be used as evidence. You may not like the civil libertarian aspects of this but it is, none the less, reality.
This is why I don't understand why girls show their faces on their website! It is just asking for trouble. At least blurring out your face and using another name can throw the evidence off in court. Cuz they have to prove it's u in the photos. But u can also say those photos were stolen and the website was made by someone trying to make money off your photos possibly. They just need to go after the bad people who are trafficking and leave the rest of us alone. But alas that won't happen.
Look out for the stuff on Superbowl Sunday. They do a lot of stings then.
They show their faces because it's fantastic for marketing, provided you have a pretty face.
If you're at the point where they're prosecuting you for being an escort, it won't matter if you show your face, use your name, or not.
They can prove it's your site either way.
Also, this shouldn't make you paranoid. You're free and clear because they're not going after you, they're going after low hanging fruit, aka backpage guys who don't do their homework.
I would have to say you are wrong. Been there done that. They could not prove anything. I would love to be able show my beautiful face. But I've already been shown that that protects me and in turn protects who see me. This is my main priority to protect those who see me. Showing your face let's everyone know what you do that includes hotels which are now searching email addresses and phone numbers via Google when u check in. If it pops up attached to an ad or website for anything illegal they inform the authorities. Ladies beware! Use a separate info when checking in.
Loyalty to your customers will usually get you loyalty in return. There are always douches who are the exception, but for the most part, I think if your customers know you would not through them under the bus if questioned by LE, they would do the same for you.
So you've been busted before? I don't see how that's possible if you're screening well enough, and I also don't see how not having your face on your website helps you at all in that situation...
Perhaps I'm missing something?

Yes, best policy is "don't use real info to do anything hobby related". Totally agree there. However, hotels aren't using facial recognition to check if you're in an escort ad or not. The closest thing is what Vegas does, which is when you're caught you get blacklisted and then if you come back facial rec can alert security. Even that is pretty "best case scenario" and a decent pair of shades takes care of it.
I only see P411 or TER whitelisted members and thankfully havent had any problem in the hobby. For the gents I would advise only seeing reviewed ladies that are reputable and established, even then there are still chances of things going a arie and turning into a situation you were not expecting.
