Under the milky way- The Church

The Church was definitely an underrated group.  I remember when "Starfish" came out, nobody knew what to make of it, as "Under The Milky Way" was such a gentle sounding song (Waddy Wachtel's influence was in that one), but they had such a weird sound.  I would have to say "Destination" was a stronger song for me, but "UTMW" was just a perfect pop song...great verse-chorus-verse structure, flowing solo section, and the fade out was perfect for Steve Kilbey's voice.  I also liked "North, East, South, West", "Reptile", and "Hotel Womb" from that one.

Remember the prom scene in Napoleon Dynamite where they played "Forever Young"--it brings you right back to those teenage years where you were sometimes awkward and goofy, but always invincible. It was impossible to imagine yourself growing older, LOL.

I always liked Corey Hart's "Never Surrender".  The beginning always takes me right back to 1985.

From the many admirers you have, Bex, that one sounds as approriate for you as "Fire Woman"...or maybe "She Sells Sanctuary", or "Rain".

It's gotta be Modern English, one of those one-hit wonders that I'll never forget (and gets you rockin in your car whenever it plays on the airwaves)

But since I grew up on the east coast I have some  scary ones:
