Why does SD have a poor rep?  Are there not enough providers? Are agencies B&S or is LE the issue?  Either way, need some guidance as to pursuing the hobby when I visit from NY at the end of February.  I even hear TJ is no place to visit these days.

I have often wondered the same thing. (I came to SD from LA)
I do hear men complain about getting caught up with agencies or ladies that don't look like their photo, no shows, etc.
It's a big / small town. Def. not NYC or LA.
There are plenty of great ladies. It all depends on your taste.

Best to do a review search of the things you look for.

PS. For safety reasons I would never suggest TJ. It can be dangerous in general, not just from a hobbying stand point.

Who's out there saying that San Diego has a poor reputation? May not have the sheer numbers of a NYC or LA, but the quality is definitely there. Lots of good indies. Maybe it's sheer luck, but out of all the cities I've hobbied in, San Diego just so happens to have my #1 and #2 ATFs (and, hey, I haven't even had a chance to see Jai yet...)

I have heard of girls flaking, using stolen pics, etc.

I guess I am of the school that you treat your clients well and the way you would want to be treated. No with deciet and lies.

TJ= NO WAY not safe anywhere down there for any reason.

It depends on what you're looking for.  If you're looking providers in their 30s, there are a few.  If you're looking for providers in their 20s, good luck with that.
As for TJ, just don't watch the news.  It's still the same down there.  
At this time, most girls are still on vacation.  Hopefully, thing will get better by the time of your visit.

I find myself going to LA to find the right provider.  I don't go to TJ because: (1) can't find quality 9+ girls there, (2) tough to make prearrangements, (3) not as safety conscious, and (4) it is quite dangerous right now.  As for SD, there are little to no 9/9 girls who fit my taste.  As one person said above, good luck finding someone in their 20's.  You'll find them, but they are hit or miss, the performance isn't always there.  For consistency, I find I have to travel.  When I find the right one here, I try and see her often.

I will be honest enough to admit that, for me personally, there are only a few local ladies here that I am really interested in seeing, and most of them I've already seen. The upside to that: 2 of the best ladies I've ever seen anywhere are right here in San Diego, and I want to see them every time I come to town. I guess it really depends on what you are looking for. You may have a difficult time finding it here.

So sorry to hear that we have such a bad rep here in San Diego!!
   But I trust if you look, long and hard, you will find the right girl for you!!
It all depends on what you like and - you can always ask other hobbyists about someone you're interested in, these guys are always here to help

I have found that the so called "poor rep" for SD to be more of a superficial stereotype based on events in the past.  Yes, perhaps in the past the agencies, ROBs and LE were a constant problem and probably more so than in LA at that time.  But now, you will find that SD isn't that much different from LA or OC. You just have to look for it harder.

As for TJ, it is no place to visit now.
