It is really fascinating that what a provider says about herself to entice you to avail yourself of her services can be so incredibly different from what they are actually like or what they provide when you get there. My question is, do they not know that they are going to be reviewed? If so, why the difference. If I hadn't become a VIP member I never would have picked it up in just the instant reviews. What gives?

Hey Discreet Guy - The review system doesnt really work anymore and heres why.  Lets say you honestly give someone numbers that are under her averages.  OK - So you are being honest - right?  Well here's what happens - a>) she blacklists you or b.) She lobbys whomever to take that review down.  In either case we see INFLATED average numbers because you are held hostage for being honest.  She wants nothing but perfection.  I have been disappointed with 3 very highly reviewed ladies on this San Diego board.

So here's what I have always done.  Instead of relying on reviews - which imho is a stacked deck - just PM some hobbyists in the community.  Many of us have insights we dont want to share on discussion boards for whatever reasons.  Ask me - I'm not hiding behind and alias nor would I ever tell any provider my handles on any boards due to the threat of being held hostage.

PM me!

In sales, there will always be those who oversell, and those who are reputable. I don't know how someone can hobby without a TER kind of resource. Those who oversell are banking that a certain percentage will not check reviews, and once in the room, will stay to the end hoping it will get better. Live and learn I guess, as I have recently discovered lol.

I prefer to read the reviews, especially the juicy details.  If you've been around long enough you'll find a fellow hobbyist who has the same taste in the ladies as you and he may well review similar to you. I have found this to be the case, so when I'm looking at a lady I'd like to see and notice a review from a fellow hobbyist that has similar tastes and reviews as me,  I pay extra attention to his review.
I rarely  if ever pm another hobbyist for help with a lady I'd like to see, but that's just me.

Thanks Discrete for your input here.....I totally concur.....I am personnally aware of 2 reviews in the last month in SD that were (imho) honest and forthright about a provider and they were ultimately removed by the provider. It seems that there is too much filtering allowed. All reviews should stay up....positve or negative.....then let the buyer decide....

yes, like when did 7/7 become a "negative" review, and yet I know many ladies who think so.  grade inflation, quid pro quo reviews, discounts for reviews, it all taints the system.

I'm in a quandary.  One of SD current top 10 came over and performed a 4 but averages a 9+

So if I'm honest what exactly could happen to me by being black listed?  I want to support my fellow hobbyists, but at the same time I don't want to cut my nose to spite my face...

I am also going to start a new thread so as to get a fresh perspective...

Well HH - I just exchanged info with 3 other members and we all the same issue with 2 providers who have stunning reviews - If we relied on reviews as you suggest we would be very disappointed.

wonder what you mean by this
Some ladies market a a certain image and don't care if they see you again
What does that mean?

Just like up selling, old pics,  etc hasn't gone away.
I'm sure there are still ladies that create an upscale high end appearance for the sake of higher donation, but really aren't conerned with long term clients or the biz as an art, like some.
It's all about the cash....

For example: I gave a reference for someone who wasn't the best client, multi issues, got stood up.
Instead of taking it at that. I was asked by the person "Well, did he show up the first time."
That mentality...
