His teams were so much fun to watch, and he influenced so many MVP's, Hall of Famer's, and Super Bowl winning teams with his passing game. It's a travesty that he isn't in the Hall of Fame!
The most innovative coach in football history, who is credited with developing the I-formation and the West Coast Offense. I doubt that any head coach has had as many assistants to go on to become great coaches in their own right, including John Madden, Al Davis, Ernie Zampizi (sp?), Joe Gibbs, Bill Walsh, etc. It is a shame or a crime that he was never elected to the NFL Hall of Fame.
