The 'male' advertising eye....(aka 'the little head').......

Just wanted to get some overall guy views on advertising site. Primarily where do you go and what do you look at?
For example:
My friend and I agree we don't tend to pay attention to banner or tiles on Opening/Primary pages. We feel typically they are other sites or agencies, so we pass them by.
However, as we get into a category (ie.escorts) our eye goes to any banners that may be mid-page, then over to all the ad's. I myself don't think I'd ever go through more them a list of 30 girls at any one time. So if something toward the top doesn't get my attention, I'll goto another site.
What catches your eye when you go to an advertising site? What do banners mean to you?
Thanks for your thoughts...
Hugs,
J.L.

About the only AD site I will go to without following a link from a review is Eros.  I don't really notice the banners other than to think this girl is really paying a lot to market herself.  I believe that Eros let's you pay extra to be in the Top 5 ladies of a category that you choose as well.  I would think that's a better investment than a banner ad.

The main reason I will go to Eros occasionally is that they have a "What's New" page where you can see visitors coming, new ladies and ladies with new pictures.  Cityvibe has something like that but that site seems to attract a higher concetration of ROBS than Eros.  Not sure why that is.

As far as a ladies personal site, it's reviews first, looks second, and monetary matters third.  If I see a flash opening I will always bypass it if given the option and head for the pictures followed by donation.  I may read the other pages if I decide to see a lady to bring up in conversation but it's usually not what makes me decide to see a lady.

Anyway, that's how I shop.

When on Cityvibe or Eros or something, I usually associate the banners with women who are going to be expensive, and not necessarily better.  Just marketing themselves as a Lexus instead of a Toyota.

Geez, did I just compare women to cars?  Something Freudian there...

I will slog through every ad on a site like that mall or cityvibe, but that's just me. I'll compile a list of names, and check the reviews.

I never use Craig's List. Too much uncertainty.

Actually, I think the best marketing is what you're already doing - be active on the boards. Keep your name up there. A tasteful website that is easy to navigate.

Flash based sites for Providers don't work for me. The openings are always too slow - just give me access to the info, I don't want a TV show style presentation.

So banners in the list of Providers do catch my eye, but they don't necessaritly make me want to click on them. It's what's in the banner that matters.  Content is king.

I only really look at 3 sites: EROS, CityVibe, and the "Insert City Name" Exotics. When I do, I usually look at all the escorts available, so most of the time, it's a long list. I agree, If someone has a banner, I'll usually check it out.
It's hard for me to explain what catches my eye.
Sometimes it's a certain name that stands out, or a certain look. I will say, however, if the ad doesn't link to a private web-site, or only has a phone number or email address, or worse of all, sends me to an agency web-site, I'll disregard it in a heartbeat. For some reason, those make me very nervous LOL!! Anyway, that's my 2 cents, Jai, though I don't know if I really answered you questions.

I prefer the provider's own personal website over cityvibe, eros and other other similar types.  The thought being that if a provider does have her own website, then there should be some legitimacy about her as she has something "vested" in the hobby herself.

But in the final analysis, we all think with our small heads!

I almost never visit a provider that does not have their own site. I have done OK with ThatMall from time to time, but I trust providers that have their own sites. They are in business, and take what they are doing seriously. It cuts down on the possibility of dealing with a flake or possible rip off or robbery.

I have to agree with both of you. I've never seen someone that didn't have their own website. It does seem to imply a level of legitamacy.
