You cannot send TER mail without VIP status. That is one of the perks. Being a VIP doesn't mean that the sender isn't a member of the LOD either. If it doesn't feel right, don't respond to it.
First, I apologize for the alias. I do not want the posting of this 'private' mail to bite me later.
Can you send private mail on TER w/o a TER "handle" or VIP?
I received the following message and asked for sender's TER handle. I attach his reply as well.
Hey Dude, Hoping to get some expert advice for my weekend in San D..It sounds like you've sampled everything around. So far, I've been torn about which Greek Goddess is better.. You sound pretty impressed with Grace, but is there anyone else in that price range that you might suggest? I'm brand new at The Hobby, so I'm real paranoid about STDs..Any sign of Warts or Herpes on Grace? Also, I want to make sure I get full 8" penetration and not hurt anybody..Cum Back Good Buddy,`10/4...
REPLY to request for TER handle..
Hi ___, I don't have a TER handle. I'm a newbie and not looking for a career, so I'm just asking for advice for a one time outing in SD.. A little help? Thanks

And the return address is the sender's TER handle. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think you can send a PM under an alias either. So you already have the guy's TER handle. Unless you meant that he sent to your private email address. That would raise the question of how he got it in the first place.
On the assumption that you're not just fooling with us, my advice would be to politely decline to furnish the information.
I'm not sure if you can SEND email if you are not a VIP but in this case it does not matter - he's a VIP since he can read the TER mail you've sent him.
While back, I posted a review and a few weeks later got a PM from someone I couldn't identify and never heard from before. It asked me for what might be described as "inappropriate" information about the provider. It "felt" wrong. It was too specific from someone I didn't know, hadn"t talked to and here's the important part: it asked for information that could do no good for the lady or, really, the "hobbyist." So I deci]lined to give the info and called the lady immediately to let her know what happened. I'd strongly suggest the same course of action on your part.
