I had a similar experience.  One position a provider taught me actually led to my wife's strongest O.  Where did you learn that, she asked? (and the unasked...how come you haven't done it before now?).  Scrambling for an answer, I came up with my doing research on how to spice up our sex life...a few Kama Sutra books and on video on Tantra.  The books were a life saver as the position was in there (had to be since EVERY position is in there).  The video though was a disaster.  I thought this would work since it is EDUCATIONAL instead of porn, right?  Well it might be educational to have two of the hairiest lesbians I have ever seen DATYing each other thru a layer of saran wrap (must be safe, I guess) but it does not do much for mood setting.  This so turned us off that we didn't talk about sex for a week let alone do anything, but now she gets bedroom eyes whenever I pull out the saran wrap...
