I'm sure it makes us all a little uneasy, but were all here to help each other.  Seek out a provider who is well known and well reviewed and there will be no problems.

I've always wanted to try an escort, but have always been to paranoid about LE. I've noticed that a lot of the providers want you to fill out an app form, but that just doesn't seem very
safe to have my name and address in some database. I understand the escort needs to protect herself as well, but I need to protect myself. Does anyone else have reservations about filling out these forms. Is there any sure way of feeling safe. Thanks First Timer

I just make sure the provider is well known and give her the information requested.  I would be wary of someone that is "new" as you never know.  But most established providers request it and I've NEVER experienced a problem of any kind.  I would suggest perusing the reviews here and choose someone established.

No -- I think the majority discard the info once they have used it to verify that you're not LE.  I'm sure there are exceptions, but I don't worry about it.

What LE should focus on, instead of escorts and sites like TER, is pornography posing as an escort service.  But I guess it's easier to bust 30 individuals/week who don't have a lawyer, than it is a corporation with a farm of 1st amendment fanatics on their side.

I've been looking into other online dating services recently and there's a scam out there that I'm currently paranoid about.  You think you're sending an email to a real hottie, but it's a corporation that has bought photos from some reseller, and is making money off the "age verification" software they use to "screen minors".  Day after week after month until frustration or illumination sets in, you pursue something, continually being a victim of "cash and dash".

It starts off with an automated response and prompt via email to visit one of their 3 or 4 different, yet identical parent sites, and if you are "serious" about meeting this proverbial hottie, you'll sign up for a "free" age-verification service first.  Well, it's free for 3 days until the $25/monthly fee kicks in.  The website owner gets $5 upfront and then $20 for each month the sucker continues to drool over someone who probably doesn't exist.

There are different variations on this scam, and I don't know if any of this is absolutely true, but I wish SD City vibe would focus on this angle instead of others.  I'm fantasizing that once you get into the site, you pay some #800 number some more money, you... x, y, z, prolong your meeting, increasing your desperation, upping the stupidity $$$ factor.

By contrast, as others have already said in this thread, if you see a well-reviewed provider, don't sweat it.  You'll know approximately the kind of service you'll be receiving, an approximate "gift" amount, all without having to worry if some hairy ass dude in front of a computer somewhere in Iraq is laughing at your stupidity because you've been chasing someone for 3 months who turns out is now a grandmother living in Idaho.

I have been with numerous providers and never filled out these forms. I refuse and if the provider does not wish to see me, I moveon to another.

Remember, there is virtually a limitless number of wonderful providers.

My suggestion is to find an established provider whose screening process is one you are comfortable with.  If you're successful in hooking up, you can use that as a way to see others since there are providers who are willing to use provider references in lieu of getting personal information from you.

Just my $0.02.

That's what I thought until someone I saw several times tried to extort me. She's not too comfortable anymore.

Do not think that these women throw away your info, some of them may, but there is always a chance that they keep it just in case.

I never give any work info anymore and only give my name and provider refernces. I also refuse to give a deposit.

itsba silly idea to be filling out forms... just 2 screw!

Holy s**t! Was it a local girl that did it? Is she still in business? I hope not.

In 12 years of doing this I've never had anything like that happen nor have I even heard of it.  Unreal.  I'd sure out her.  I've given personal information to many, many providders with no problemsat all . . . though I see just 2 now on a regular basis.

There was a recent review by sdguy28 of San Diego's Skye, in which she changed two credit clips (converting 1's to 7's), so that he was charged $1525 instead of the agreed upon $325. There are numerous reports of Skye doing this in the past.

Don't know the law on this, but it sure sounds like a felony to me. I shudder to think about Skye's future victims, if she decides that an extortion racket would be more profitable. Indiscriminately handing out detailed personal information to otherwise blind websites may well be an invitation to disaster, especially as the economy gets worse.

By the way, Sdguy28 still gave Skye's performance rating a "3", so he should probably be nominated for sainthood.

Remember, all it takes is one! I would never fill out these form. If it means I miss out on a few superstars, so be it! If we all band together, maybe we will drive a few of these providers into being more reasonable.

you've got the street corners and mexico where the girl has no form. the girls that have the brains to protect themselves, which is reasonable, aren't going to care about any of us that don't care about them. we need to either band together to protect the superstars or blame oursevles for the great ones disapearing. OUT the bad apple, for chrissakes.

As I stated she isn't too comfortable any more and there is no need to cause further pain.

Lets say shes had a string of bad luck and accidents since the incident.
