My VIP privileges were pulled then put back on, then pulled again.  I have been on this board for almost four years and I did not receive any notice at all for any changes.  Hopefully, someone would have the common courtesy to notify their decisions to end my membership ,or anyone elses for that matter, with at least an explanation prior to doing so.  My e-mail showed nothing.  It just happened with no explanations, no anything.  Has the policy changed?  Can someone clarify when and if the requirements did change.  I must have missed them.  Any way it did not fell good when I was not allowed VIP privileges without being notified first.  If the TER doesn't want people to belong without paying, then so be it.  However, I see providers on a regular basis and I hate reviewing the same ones over an over again.  My last review on someone who has 20 or more is just superfluous. Just let me know and I am sure I will make the right decision.  This left me thinking that the comeraderie that I found on this board many years ago is slipping away.  I always thought this was a lifestyle not a business.  Otherwise, the TER would not have offered membership by submitting reviews.  Are we heading for the Big Doggie type of site.  Please give me your thoughts.

Reviews are the life-blood for TER. Someone who is able to maintain their VIP membership solely through reviews should be applauded for their support of this site.

One other point. In San Diego, it's becoming an increasingly dangerous game for a TER reviewer to post on new providers. Reviewers like RMPLESTILSKIN should be encouraged by TER.

If you maintain VIP membership by posting reviews, as I do, you get 2 weeks credit per review.  Then VIP privileges expire.  Post another review, get 2 more weeks.  It sounds like this might be what happened.

Or are you saying that your VIP membership was pulled arbitrarily even though you had time left?  If so, please say so explicitly so we can make some kind of informed judgement.

...under your account information.  I am also only a VIP when I do my infrequent reviews, and I ALWAYS get a couple of warnings from TER before my VIP status lapses.  Maybe TER is mailing your notices to an old or incorrect e-mail address?

No not really I don't think so!  If you have been on for over 4 years and only have 4 reviews I cant see how you have been maintaining your VIP status unless it partially paid for.  Some of the story is missing here, RMPLESTILSKIN let us know the rest.  Have you had your VIP priv's removed but ca they be re-instated or what?  would be very curious to know what's up on that...

When I joined the TER there were no set time limits or anything else when it came to joining by submitting reviews. I would send in reviews but no one ever said that I was short on reviews or that I needed any more reviews. I never have been contacted by the TER to tell me where I stand and I did not know until recently the changes that have been made.  I read this site almost every day and I cannot remember a single announcement that set down the exact procedures that were to be followed.  On the other hand, this will not be the first time nor the last that I missed something.  I am just saying it would have been nice if someone would have told me the TER was getting ready to block my privileges.  To find out after the fact is not really conducive to good relations with the membership.  A simple e-mail that said I was going to be cut off would have sufficed.

Twenty bucks a month is a really good deal, considering the big mistakes you can avoid.  I've been paying it for years, and consider it a great investment.

if you read our Guidelines to submitting reviews.

You may also submit an update on a provider that you have already reviewed. We will replace your old review, but you won’t be credited for an additional 15 days. Your new review must be a complete rewrite that adds something new to the experience in order for it to replace the old one.

You submitted 3 reviews for jessica.  We accidentally credited you, the debited the days later once the mistake was found.

I seem to recall always getting at least a 9 day notice and a 4 or 5 day notice.

I have never received any e-mail from staffe until after I have been removed from VIP rolls.  What is really strange is that they e-mail you after they take you off the rolls and you can't access the e-mail they send you.

That seems fair.  But how do I know this when you don't tell me?

You seem like a pretty good guy.  But this has all the signs of a case for

I don't think your a wise ass at all.  I appreciate you input. I am just saying that I am not notified about anything that staff does until it happens.  I mean nothing.  When I am downgraded to a standard member I cannot access e-mail.  It is crazy.  I login and see in the drop down that I have new mail.  I am sure it is the staff notifying me of something important but they we wont let me access it.  The staff finally wrote me today on a alternate e-mail I sent them yesterday.  It was about three reviews they had denied from three months ago.  However, the reviews showed okay on my review account and I had no idea they had been denied.  This is why they I was downgraded to basic.  If I had not e-mailed them on my own initiative I would have never found out.

You are absolutely right except that I started this adventure with the thought that by submiiting reviews I would see how long I could go as a sort of challenge to myself.  It is not the money.  My annual income is in the middle 6 figures and I also spend about 20k a year on my hobby so 20 bucks a month is not the hold back.  It may sound crazy to everyone else but I like to beat the odds.  It keeps me interested.

If one should want free VIP time, I will let you in on what got me the next 3 years or so of free VIP access. Go do a search for a provider. Put"yes" for a porn star and nothing in the city box. Leave that blank. You will get over 100 pages of reviews. Now, about 100 pages worth are not porn stars. Simply read the providers ad. If there is no mention of her being a porn star, file a problem report. Each one will get you 2 days. They add up very quickly. Like I said, I have a few years worth and I got that in a 2 or 3 day period and I was not glued to the monitor. Good luck.
