How about you make sure she has enough business to make it more alluring for her to show up?  If she has a chance to make enough money, she'd be foolish not to show up.

Also, refundable tickets are more expensive than non-refunable.

I'm considering flying a gal in from the east coast. She says she'll have a session immed after landing. I believe her but know how hard it is for these girls to keep an appt. Question is....how do I get the ticket so that if she doesn't show...i dont eat it. A refundable ticket would be in effect sending her the cash. Any and all ideas appreciated

Let's back up.....why are you flying this lady across country at your expense especially if you're worried she may stiff you......obviously not the way you would prefer! You could either use the money you would spend on that airline ticket to spend time with several wonderful ladies who either live in SD or travel here regularly OR if this special lady really has you under her spell, you can eliminate the risk by buying a ticket for yourself to fly where your lady friend lives. That way you eliminate the risk and can spread the overhead—this would be in the way you prefer—by seeing a few out of town ladies while you are there!

First of all, I'm not sure it would be advisable to do that for somebody you haven't met.  Not so much for the loss of a ticket but the chances of not knowing if she might flake on you are a little bit more.

That being said, I did get a ticket for a lady that I had seen a couple of times from Houston.  I did this as an E-ticket on Southwest.  She did have to give me her real name but we knew each other well enough that she didn't have a problem with it.  I told her she just had to show up and show her ID at the gate to get on the plane.  I set up the ticket Electronically so any changes to the reservation would have sent me an email of the changes.  As it turned out, she did flake and I was able to hold the money in my Southwest account for a year.  I ended up using the funds to visit a good friend in Florida.

Another thing to add is that I wasn't flying her out for a "session".  We were planning on spending a few days together enjoying each other and SD.

To fly anyone out for a "session" could be a federal offense.
