Lisa,
First of all let me say that I have a back problem compounded by a cousin to ALS (Lou Gherig's Disease) which is not terminal.  When I was in Vegas a few years ago (I go once a year for a trade show) I really neededn a good legitimate massage.  When the girl arrived she brought a massage table with her.  This turned out to be the best massage I've ever had.  Personally, in this case I was glad she brought it, since what I needed would be very difficult on a softer surface, such as a bed.
So yes, some people do bring tables with them, but I don't know how common it is.  If she is only giving straight, 'legitimate' massages I would suggest that she ask what facilities the customer has available and if it would be permissible for her to bring it.
Just my opinion.

I have a friend who does massage (legit) who wants to do out call to motels. She wants to know if she should bring her table to the Motel/Hotel. Has anyone had a masseuse bring a massage table to your room? Does she need to ask the motel for permission? Thank you guys.

It is perfectly Ok for her to do that. I have had many great & legit massages from outside girls who did just that. No problem from the hotel. Perfect thing to have after a 10 hour flight!

What does she charge???  I am always looking for a good masseuse!!  Yes I have had tables brought to me in the past, but to my house, not a hotel.  Email me with the massage info.

Legit outcall massage to a hotel/motel room is a bit scary.  Please make sure your friend is being extra careful.

Massage tables are pretty conspicious but not illegal.  As long as she has the appropriate licenses and she's not breaking the law I don't think anyone can stop her.  (Any lawyers out there?)  But if they did she could always let her client know what had happened and let him/her complain.

She might try builing a relationship with the managers or concierges of local hotels.  Go in introduce herself show them her license and they might even let her leave cards. Important to act very professional and dress conservatively if she goes this route.  When I was massaging I had relationships with a few boutique type hotels.  Sometimes the concierge refered  clients to me.  I routinely tipped anyone who helped me and made it a point to chat a bit with employees in the guest shop, lobby, and the valet on my way in and out.  Unlike with escorting I wanted people to be aware of my presence there.  Having people know me made me feel more secure and helped my confidence when I was dealing with a difficult situation and at a hotel she WILL encounter some.

Generally, a table is not necessary unless it's to difficult for her to use the bed.  Several "straight" masseuses that I've seen keep their table in their car and then ask me if I prefer to use the table.  It's easy for them to go get it if necessary.  I don't think she'll have to ask permission from the front desk at the hotel, if she carries in a massage table it pretty much speaks for itself as to what she is doing.

I have had a massuesse come to my hotel room in Seattle, and she brought her table with her.  I asked her if she had ever been questioned about it, and she told me that in the five years that she has been doing outcall massage, she has only been asked about it one time.  Hope this helps.

First of all, any professional massage is better on a table than it is on a soft bed, which was not designed for that use.

Second, in an LE-frenzied environment like SD has a reputation for, carrying the table, as well as a copy of your professional license, may avert some embarrassments if the parking lot of the hotel were under surveillance by you know who.
