Re:How many clients?

In an earlier thread discussing providers offering specials, there are a few posts addressing this subject: how many clients do providers see in a day/week? I always thought a full time girl would probably average seeing 2-4 guys a day and work maybe 4 or 5 days a week. I get the impression from the messages in the other thread that maybe my guesstimate is on the high end. I suppose the numbers are all over the place but is there any kind of "average"? And is it safe to assume that the girls who spend most of their time on the road see a higher-than-average number of clients in a day? I have shied away from seeing one traveling provider in particular (she visits SD and LA regularly) because I envision a steady stream of traffic which I would prefer to avoid due mostly to the attention I imagine it might generate. Can anyone enlighten me on this subject?

TIA

You are right in that the numbers vary from girl to girl. Some of us have additional activities keeping us busy( jobs, children etc.) I find it difficult to focus on too many things at once and therefore see only a few clients a week during  school. I think it is really difficult to spend real "quality" time with a client if a provider is regularly seeing four gentlemen a day, though I am not saying there aren't those that do. Kudos to those ladies!

Just my opinion...

It is difficult for everybody has there own idea of how to run their biz. Some providers are available to 1/2 hr appts and some only 2hrs or more.
For me I have another business and 2-3 max clients a week is what I like, I keep it more to 2 a week. For me personally it is very important, I do not date and love to get intimate, it is the only time I spend with men( I do not date). I have travelled in the past with a specific focus in mind( down payment for my house) and I had 4 appts in a day for 3 days. I did come home with the money I needed( met wonderful people) however it was hard on my body and emotionally for that matter.
In my opinion I do not know anyone who keeps a revolving door going.......It sounds easy that you could set these appt. however it is not that easy you have to check references. Sometimes things come up and you have to reschdule, it is not as easy as it seems if it was I think most of us would be ready to retire with in 2 years.
Next week I will be celebrating my 2 years in this biz and I have met the most amazing people ............I love this biz!

with a hour rate of 300, it comes to 20 to 33 hours of activities per month.  If the hourly rate is 400, it works out to be 15 to 25 hours.  So once or twice a day, 4 or 5 days a week are probably the minimum expectation for an independent lady.  If an independent lady tries to safe guard against the possibility of a 15% to 25% rate of no call/no show (all these figure are my guess only), on a busy day she might take 3 or 4 calls.

JMHO, unless those are multi-hour appointments, 1 or 2 clients per week are not a realistic way of supporting an independent lady.

The only reason I say this is because I know several providers here in town who are very well liked and have great reviews who actually sometimes have a hard time making mthly bills. They do not own homes and if they were making 6k I am sure this would not be a problem.
So I think you may need to consider instead of 15-20% for cancellation or no-show maybe look at it more like  50% .
I have 4 kids + private school  and a house payment and my ovrhead is not over 3k. Maybe this is why 2-3 clients max a week and my other biz as it is taking off ( generating a little more $) is usually all I need.
I am only giving you my opinion on what I have seen and experience with myself and those i know.

an independent lady would probably set for herself when she started.  Some ladies might do this on the side to supplement their income.  Most of them rely on this as their major source of revenue.

Although 3K/mo tax free (if they choose so) is not a small amount, it is nowhere near sufficient as a major source of compensation for this line of work.  If the economy is good and the clientele is available, I don’t think most ladies who counted on this as their major source of income would decline.

I am not those who thought that most of the ladies who participated in it have a huge income.  This is not an easy time right now and this line of work is very stressful.  However, unless a fair compensation is earned in the process, I don’t think a lady would continue to do this voluntarily for long.

All these are just general observations and anecdotal facts I gathered.  It would be different from lady to lady as in your case.

Take care,

GC

The Established Base Line (set number of hours/fee) of 10K/9.5K is the issue based on the spread between expectated receipts over a period of time (arguable based on the responses received if nothing more). The 6.4K/mo would agree with "the provider's" realistic model, as that component was used to get the 6.4K. That model of course is not off, based on using the provider's figures. To arrive at the 10K/9.5K, the 3.2K, is argued to be identified as lost revenue (arguable), and in fact being added to get close to the original expected baseline figures of 10K approx. Reverse engineering of "the providers" base line figures (sums of course)in order to develop a loss figure. Sorry but, I am now weary of the issue. Very inventive!

Oops! Forgot to close out. Instead of (stated model) 9.6 - 3.2 = 6.4K/mo, it should be (realistic model) 6.4 - 3.2 = 3.2K/mo (realized income)-Using the provider's hours @ 6.4K/mo less 3.2 loss(@ 800/week, mutually agreed).Also,the Reverse engineering model shows 6.4 + 3.2 = 9.6. Too great a spread from realistic 3.2K to expected 9.6K to even be feasible.
