On Friday nights in Escondido they have Crusin' The Grand. That is a open street fair every Friday the bars are busy and there are 1000's there every Friday. 6:00 til 11:00

North County coastal is fairly weak for this.  Oceanside is kind of corporate row, with steakhouses and family restuarants dominating.  Carlsbad is mostly smaller places, although Fidel's and Neiman's should have something going on, and there is always Pizza Port (lol).  Also, Cafe Sevilla is a great place, if they do anything for happy hour.  Encinitas is mostly smaller places or restaurants (like Meritage or When In Rome) on the coast (although there is always Big Daddy's Roadhouse on 101 in Leucadia, if you don't mind bikers...lol), and corporate places inland.  Your best bet coastal would probably be Del Mar on the strip, or one of the Mexican places in the Eden Gardens section of Solana Beach.

Inland you have more selection.  There are a few places in San Marcos on Restaurant Row, some places in Rancho Bernardo, and maybe a couple in Escondido. When you get into Penisquitos (, it becomes corporate row again.

Martini Ranch on PCH in Encinitas or Crazy Burro at El Camino Real and LaCosta.   MR gets going later and the Burro is hit or miss.  Wednesday's we hit The G stop (Grand Ave Bar) Carlsbad.  If you want company let me know and i'm sure a few of my crew would be only to happy to connect.
