Hi Folks,
I'm relatively new to the San Diego area (used to be in Houston) and am looking for some provider friends to do doubles with and also to refer clients to if I need to.
Houston has a few lively discussion boards with lot's of provider input and I've yet to find that here. I'm feeling a bit isolated and would love to make some friends who understand the unique pleasures and problems of this business. It definately helps to have that kind of support system.

Thanks for the warm welcome Sedona. I understand your concerns but your response just highlights the trouble I'm having. I am a frequent contributer on two other boards, ASPD and YMMV. A search on my name should clear up some of the concern about me.

Wow is SD so very different from Houston. Houston is so wide open as to defy belief. There is an active social scene in the business with everything from small almost formal sit down dinners to cocktail parties attended by hundreds of people to small weekly happy hour socials, all attended by both men and ladies. There are about as many full service spas as their are McDonalds! The action in the clubs and spas is so good that girls come in from all over the country to work there during the week! Houston is not refered to as The Greatest Show On Earth for nothing.
It was from this scene that LJ came and it would seem expected something close to the same there.

Let me apologize on behalf of the paranoid San Diego hobbyests. Just because they're paranoid doesn't mean someone isn't out to get them.
San Diego has plenty of money to pay welfare to one of the US's richest people for unsold tickets to losing games and plenty of money to hassle people associated with victimless "crime" but no money for decent schools or roads. Go figure.
This city is notoriously reactionary and has been forever. Women working in dance clubs have to wear more than they would on the street or beach. Things don't make much sense here so please be careful and patient and hopefully you'll understand some of the overt hostility.
There are government employees attempting to make this board a hostile place and there are providers who don't welcome additonal competion as well as competing boards. Not all the hostility is from potential clients because with all the aliases out here anyone can pretend anything.
You will need discretion here. It's not like the boards you're used to.

I've heard from a good friend that you are fine. Houston folks do not use TER at all from what I understand. Things will work out. In the meantime, screen, screen screen!!!!! DO NOT compromise on that! There are some great guys in this town who expect you to be safe and professional so don't get worried, or compromise your safety to make friends here. It will come around. By the way, I rather like the way you market yourself. Your pretty cute!

gotten a response..I was able to communicate privately with BigLouie though to give him a heads up on it.
...and before you rag on my only having a few reviews posted I decided early on that paying for the membership was well worth it and the reviews while appreciated were not my thing to do.
I have done tons of reading and reasearch on LJ from a number of sources and if you take the time to do the same you are going to find an amazing, enlightened and maybe a bit ecclectic woman.
I had the plesure of spending a very long afternoon with her and she is sooooo worth the time and $$.
Don't scare her away just because she is new to this fair(ly messed up) city and the provider environment. SD is no haven and she is an angel in your midsts.
She is very real, the website will likely be back. Go to ASPD and do a search for postings by Lilyjune. You might learn something.

First, I didn't mean to make anyone uncomfortable and I'm sorry if I have. As a newbie here I expect a little bit of scepticism and or constructive criticism but I wasn't expecting the venom. I am now more aware of the issues San Diego is having and I will try to conform to the style of this board. I do understand and have respect for TER members safety. I'm truly sorry if my post looked as if it was compromising that in some way.
As I stated I'm new in town and I love it here but I'm missing the community aspect surrounding the "hobby" in Houston. I assumed y'all had the same thing and that I just hadn't hooked up with it yet. I don't know not even one single other provider here in town and it's a shame because I have had opportunities that I would have liked to share.
I made the mistake of making this post right before leaving town for the weekend. I doubt that my being here would have made much difference but I would have posted sooner and tried to ::shrug:: I dunno, do some damage control. The free trial period of my website ended while I was gone and I hadn't paid yet. That's all taken care of now. In the 4+ years that I've been doing this I've had 2 websites. I prefer to do my advertising through word of mouth so I've put them up only when I needed to boost my business. I put this one up simply so I could post and advertise on TER. I like to be part of the community.
