I appreciate your comments and you probably are right some communcication on my part would have helped. I agree a long time in the room was boring.  I was hoping for dinner and drinks and of course the main course.  I was just wondering what others did on their longer appointments to make sure I wasn't off base in my expectations.  Some of your ideas sound like fun and maybe I'll try them out next time. As for the alias, you are right again.

Well I set up a long appointment with a beautiful provider whom I had seen before hoping for a great dream date.  Alas my expectations were shattered.  Although we had one round of fun no second chances were offered.  Also seemed to watch a lot of tv-sigh.  Did I expect too much?  I guess I was hoping to get a little more than the normal 1hr.  Was this a bad expectation as well?  Can others tell me what happens on their long appointments?

What length of date did you book in advance? I almost always setup long, multi-hour appointments, and have NEVER been disappointed. But at the same time, I normally plan for other activities such as drinks, dinner or snacks, going to a club, shopping, etc.

When you say "dream date", what exactly did you have in mind? And more importantly, did you convey your expectations to your girl ahead of time? I don't think you'll have any problems as long as your girl knows that it's a "date", and not just a "session". My idea of a dream date is certainly not 2+ hours in a hotel room watching TV (even if you did get one round of fun).

I've done all sorts of things on my previous long appointments. I guess one of my favorites would be taking my girl shopping for sexy lingerie inbetween rounds, getting the full fashion show at Victoria Secret, sneaking into the dressing room (wink), then going for drinks, maybe a light dinner. Many, many more fun and erotic options! I've always found that the extra time you spend with your girl (outside the hotel room) adds a lot to the whole experience, and when buying her things, does not cost very much extra...

I was wondering why you posted under an alias? Because you don't want your girl to know you were disappointed? I think I found the root of your problem... communication.

Try one of the TJ girls.  (See escortmexico.net)  I--and friends I've spoken with--have had multi-hour sessions with girls that  always acts like the energizer bunny.  There are some young, hot TJ girls on the Inernet for very reasonable prices.  Do a search under San Diego, selcting Latinas with performance reviews of 7-10.  Also check out the Tijuana board or PM me if you want more information.  I, too, have experince sessions where the girl is likewarm about everything but the television and your money--but not in TJ.

are not to be taken lightly!  Yes, it's gonna be cheaper for sure, but when you take your potential 'problems' home, to your doctor or to a San Diego escort, guess what?? Well, maybe just try it out and see what happens.....

I must comment on the above negative thoughts about the providers, well, at least the Internet providers in Tijuana.  They are clean, disease free, friendly and affectionate.  You are much more likely to "get something" from a US side provider than one from Mexico. My two cents.

Your comment:
"You are much more likely to "get something" from a US side provider than one from Mexico"

How is that? And what are you backing that with?

Do you remember the coverage (whether true or not?) not quite two years ago, of a roundup of TJ escorts that showed 80% of them were HIV positive?

I don't recall that story.  I did find this on google.  If I read it correctly, it states no cases of AIDs in sex workers in 1998.  However it did find 3 unconfirmed cases in Tecate for 1999.
here's the link http://www.salud.gob.mx/conasida/otraspub/practice/sex.pdf

Now on the other hand. In Vegas a report came out that several prostitues, I am guessing they are refering to street walkers, tested positive.  Yes, I know street walkers are different than escorts.

Here's a link I found via the LV board.

Bottom line, be safe.

sedonasandiego, this is no way was meant as a slam towards you at all. I hope you don't take it that way.
We all need to be read up, be safe and get tested on a regular basis.

No, I didn't take it as a slam. I appreciate your sensitivity.

I remember that it was on TV, and I recall it being before my Provider time, though shortly, so I'm guessing two years.

Again, that doesn't mean it was true, but I distinctly recall that it was Tijuana, and that it was a 'roundup' of many girls and that 80% tested positive...

Last November I took a vacation in Thailand and decided in advance not to see any CSW (commercial sex workers) while in Thailand.  The HIV rate at the time was running about 10% among CSW and 1-2% among the general population.  Those numbers came from the people in Thailand responsible for sending the numbers to the CDC in Atlanta.  I have seen reports that put the HIV rate at 10% or more among CSW in the Los Angeles area.  Does that mean I would have been safer having fun with the CSW in Thailand rather than the providers in Los Angeles ???

A few months ago a young lady was in town for a few days and she had announced her arrival only on the day of arrival (SD Discussion Board).  The response she received from SD was luke warm. Likely due to her failure to post her pending arrival in advance.

She..tall auburn hair, late 30's.  I connected 7 or 8pm on her last night in town.  After a fun 1 1/2hr session I was heading out to the gaslamp to meet friends.  Offered to show her some of SD nite life and she eagerly accepted.  I just told my buddies she was a new chick I had met.  3 hrs later I was dropping her off at her hotel.  Nice time, no extra $.

I have taken a couple other providers to dinner, drinks, etc.  No $ required.   Just a matter of developing a report.

If I book 1-2 hours with a lady it's usually just sex with some conversation mixed in between rounds.  If I book several hours I will make sure I have some wine and or something to snack on during our conversations.  I have also gone out to a dinner or a club with a few providers but in those occasions that just kind of happened without any planning.

If you had seen this lady before I hope you had some kind of personal interaction besides sex in the times you had seen her prior to the long date.  You basically have to read your partner in every situation.  Some ladies are a bit more passive and won't initiate the action.  As said by others, communication is important.  If you wanted another round, you should have just asked.

I want to respond the statements made regarding the health standards of providers in Tijuana.  First off, does anybody have any idea how common HIV/AIDS is among girls on El Cajon Blvd?   Do you seriously think it is more common than in the bars and massage parlors of TJ?  No way.

The research I did before I started going to TJ indicated that HIV/AIDS is less common in Mexico than in the US, especially among providers. (I admit that was a some time ago, and I didn’t save the information.  I’d be happy to read links to the contrary, but I am not planning on doing a research project for this post to reaffirm my prior findings.  Also, I think links were already posted supporting my research on this topic.)

In Tijuana a health certificate is required of all the sex workers—-even the street workers.  (I don’t patronize street girls, but the reason is not because I think they are highly infected.) If you own a bar or massage parlor and employ a girl without a certificate you are in trouble.

I’ve seen the authorities make surprise checks, and yes they even check the street girls. Those who don't frequent TJ usually fail to realize how important the tourist economy is to that city--and the steps the authorities take to keep the city safe for tourists.  Any idea how many young US girls go to TJ to drink and dance all night long?  How often do you hear of one being molested?  Any idea what would happen to the TJ economy if disease became prevalent among the sex workers?  (Wish US authorities would adopt a similar attitude.)

Can a girl pay a bribe and get a certificate.  Probably, but I seriously doubt it is a common occurrence.  As one who used to have to pay bribes to do business in Mexico, I’ve learned it is harder to bribe somebody in Mexico than most people in the US think.  Also, Fox’s campaign against corruption has gone a long way to reduce that sort of thing.  It takes a lot of money to bribe somebody like a doctor.  Bribing a group of doctors at a state clinic that you see on a random basis is even harder. Doing so on an ongoing basis would simply not be feasible or economically viable.  A girl without a certificate is not employable, assuming, of course, she even escapes detection by the authorities. Once she has a bad test her name and picture are given the enforcement authorites and her working days are over. (Another reason Mexican providers usually practice safe sex.) Flawed as the system might be, it is far better than anything in US (outside of parts of Nevada) to ensure that providers are disease free.  I wish there were more providers  (like Sedona) that get a regular test, but the reality is Mexican providers are tested more often than US providers.

My experience is that Mexican providers are more likely to practice safe sex than US providers.  As I already mentioned, they know a bad test ends their career.  Getting a BBBJ from a Mexican provider is harder than from a US provider, the same is true about DATY. (There is much more of a taboo about both a BBBJ and DATY in Mexico than in the US—they are seen in Mexico as something “good girls” don’t do.)  Every Mexican provider I’ve seen is a single mother worried about feeding her kids.  The majority of the providers I’ve seen in the US don’t have kids they worry about feeding.  Also, the majority of the US providers I’ve seen do drugs (if only occasionally).  The Mexican providers I’ve seen don’t do drugs.  They want to finish the session and go home to their kids, not blow their money on dugs, gambling, shopping or something of that nature.  Face it:  the two groups most at risk for HIV/AIDS are drug users and those who fail to practice safe sex.   I also believe any group that has its health monitored, however imperfect the system may be, poses far less of a risk than a group that is not monitored.  Both my research and my experience is that as a group (remember this is a statistical generality) US providers pose a greater risk than Mexican providers.
