Hi Kelly, Why do you think I am kidding? I had clients in the past that offered this bartering however I did not have a home of my own. At this point I have already gotten very expensive things done to the house without a penny out of my pocket. We all have different needs, right?

I think Mara may be on to something. Bartering must predate the concept of "money" by thousands of years, and this "hobby" predates everything in our history. Hence, the moniker "the world's oldest profession."

You are really on to something.  Bartering cuts out the middle man (IRS).  I am forever having to rationalize that a $250 payment by me actually cost me almost $400 in pretax funds.

Anyone need any financial planning or tax services?
