...that is the question.  I've seen some interesting prerequisites over the years, promoted by providers for their comfort and security.  Many times I'd agree - getting white-listed is a great way of increasing our collective safety.  I'm not into providing a deposit or earnest money.  There are plenty of fish...  Once I was asked to scan and send my driver's license.  Just recently I saw an ad that demanded the client send a selfie via text or there would be no reply.  So should I?  What would you do?  I'm thinking this is just an image too far.  Your thoughts as a consumer and producer would be fascinating.

She's not worth it anyway. I contacted her in the past before she had this new requirement and she either never responded or responded 2 days later. I get the feeling with just the brief (and scarce) communications that I was happy I passed. Besides that she is (or at least was) way over priced for massage only at $250 per hour. Yeah business must be pretty good if she can only call back if she likes your look.  Thats OK as there are plenty of other most cost effective options.

I've seen her before, once when she was working with/under Krissy. She really is just 'ok'.  Way overpriced for what she offers.  I don't think she does this full-time and she seems relatively new to all this and is a little disorganized.  Also, she probably knows that the market value for Asian experiences is generally higher than others.

Am I paranoid for thinking she would use my photo to somehow blackmail me?  I would never send a provider a picture of me.  But if I did, I would make sure it wasn't unique so I could at least claim she somehow found it on Facebook.  But seriously, why would anyone actually send A picture of themselves to a provider.  If she wants to see what her clients look like before meeting them, maybe the internet isn't the best place for her to advertise.

I don't know if it's become any more difficult than it's always been.  There is always a risk when you hobby in the US (unless you're doing it in Clark County, Nevada).  That's why I always make the quick trip to Tijuana, where it's completely legal.

I have no problem finding fun dates with good looking providers in San Diego at reasonable rates. Just a matter of doing a little homework: reading reviews, looking at ads, paying attention to back channel comm, and communicating in a meaningful way with the lady beforehand.
It's a wonderful place to be a hobbyist IMHO.
And getting back to the original question of this post: I never provide a photo of myself. No need to as far as I'm concerned.

I have to say that Bic54 is right on!!!  I went down to TJ for the 3-day weekend.  Stayed at a 5 STAR hotel for $79/night, went to HK, Adelita, Tropical, Las Chavelas during the day.  The hotel (Grand Hotel) had an amazing nightclub with all sorts of friendly Latinas looking for a little help with the rent.  Btw their rent is waaaaay lower than US. Best part ... They don't have gift registries begging for more stuff.  Plain, simple and up-front.

So Bic - The obvious point that providers will try to make is time and efficiency..  They will insinuate that seeing a provider in the US of A is much more efficient because you make an appointment for 1 hr, see the provider and BOOM - go back to work or whatever an hour later.  The point they are missing is that guys who go to TJ could care less about TIME (or money in my case).  I'm more interested in the chance (AND CHOICE) of meeting dozens of HOTTIES at a FRACTION of the price of US of A "escorts".  It's not even the fraction of the price - it's the way they treat us.  So nice!  So sexy!!  So Latina-ish (if that's even a word).

The total time spent in TJ depends on what I want to do.  I've been in and out in under an hour and on other occasions, I've stayed for days.  

and other than grabbing your passport, I assume the pre-planning is minimal. No days of back and forth emails (especially with a new provider), no change of plans/cancellation headaches, etc... I haven't been, but I can see the advantages. Curious what it's like afternoons.
