Today is the 50th anniversary of the Beatles first show on the Ed Sullivan show. For the ladies, if you could be with just one Beatle, who would that lucky lad be??

He gets the most guff (I think for not being an original Beatle).
I love his voice the most too.

I watched that show--my parents always watched Ed Sullivan on Sunday night. I still vividly remember the screaming women in the audience.
American music was never the same after that appearance.

The other three Beatles chose Ringo specifically because he was the best R and B drummer working in London at the time. He was no virtuoso, but he was a solid rock drummer with a perfect sense of time and beat. Starkey never used a metronome in the studio, he didn't have to.

But I look around me and I see it isn't so..

Love this song. And the way he sings this song. Paul for me!
And yes, I know this was from when he was with The Wings.  Still a great song!
