The restaurant week prix fixe menus can be dissapointing.

to bad I won't be in town until the 8th. Hopefully I will find some great places to eat at when I am in town if any one wants to show me around town.

I agree with the above sentiment and would opt for the full menu when possible, not the prix fixe.

Not gonna argue with a lady who offers, I mean likes, a full menu. πŸ˜‰

The difference is palpable! Its only right to experience the menu in full.

across the nation, San Diego is is in the top 5 for restaurant week, While Jeffery at Pamplemouss is great there are many others out there that fit the bill.

Restaurant week is Amateur week at best, the price fix menus are for the most part Sysco/US food driven, with lesser quality proteins, Beef, Pork, Chicken and some kind of farmed raised seafood.

Most people in the general public that wait all year for this week to come around, are not diners in general and the front of house really hates working this week. The folks that wait for it are not tippers, are rude and believe it or not actually share plates.

Going out is about the over all experience, where as the Service comes first, you can have a great meal and shitty service and it ruins your dinner and you wont come back. If you have a meal that is off alittle and great service, you will be back.

IMO, one is better off finding the independent owner operator type place and support them over the year, bow out during restaurant week, it loud AF, People feel entitled, staff is over worked and parking in San Diego generally blows and the restaurants that I would want to go to don't do restaurant week but they do have valet Parking.

Consortium Holdings or CH if you will Stay away this week unless you want a massive amount of so called 20 something influencers acting like they are special and taking photos all night and thinking the are Anthony Bourdain (mad respect) Loud and obnoxious self entitled, look at me little pukes.

Matter of fact any Alcohol driven restaurants whould be avoided, other than the FEW in this town that has a great wine Selection.

Yeah in general,, stay home and cook
