Having come over to this board to answer a newbie question.  It seems that the fear (very real) of LE is everywhere.  I'm a veteran of the hobby for too many years to remember and I'm well known on the Vegas board.  Why don't the veteran hobbies and or the veteran providers post a "Safe List" of providers for newbies. This has been suggested and somewhat done in Las Vegas not for LE reasons but for the indies to combat the terrible service of the agencies, bait and switch, cash and dash, etc. You all know who you are the veterans that is, work through this process. my 02. hobby safe, hobby well, hobby all you can be ...

but I really don't thing that posting a "safe list" would work in San Diego. It could end up being a LE hit list.

Naughtius is on the money here. The best providers deserve (and usually prefer) to stay under the LE radar.  In a sense, the "safe list" already exists - a simple search of long-time VIP members (1 year plus with numerous reviews) allows the fast compilation of a great "safe list", not to mention a range of concurring opinions as to the quality of service.  Private messages to the "dinosaurs" (like me :o) usually provide additional details and opinions.  My personal policy, though possibly unfair to the newbies, is to not reveal much if anything (beyond the review) to recent members.  Sorry, but I'm far more concerned about the good provider's security and freedom than the convenience to all new members.

How about just the opposite.  Instead of a 'safe' list, how about a 'danger' list.  In this way, you are telling the indy exactly who to AVOID and maybe with a categorized reason.  For example -

Austin - ROB
Bridgette - ROB
Jewel - Suspected LE

and BE VERY CAREFUL. A provider I've been seeing told me that LE is now more aggressive than ever before. They are setting up "TRAPS" on certain providers to get to us. I myself am cutting down on hunting for a new girl... I am sticking to my favorites!

There is also a problem with LE taking over the websites and advertising of a known "safe" provider to bust hobbyists. This has already happened at least once this year with the provider Sumie. Her ad was changed and the new number that was posted was a verified LE ohone number. the pics were also changed and then again i assume when they allowed her to go back to business. They tend to target providers who have similar descriptions to their female vice officers. if you do a search for sumi on the message board you will find the info I am speaking of. I don't have VIP anymore but I was told that the LE reviews were no longer on there but I have not been able to verify that.

There are other legitimate providers that have reviews from known LE. I will not speculate on whether those ladies were busted or not as they may very well have even seen them for a session at the expense of the departement solely for the purpose of establishing themselves here. They may not have even actually seen them but left the favorable reviews up because they were good for business. They are however firmly entrenched here and that is a Fact

Those of you who can verify that you are a legitimate hobbyist should message me or send me an e-mail I have my holiday gift cards ready to go out and I am sure that you will love them. ;)

Who would administer this list and insure that the people who give input to it are legit and not trying to bring down legit providers?  Also, the more that you post things like "Known LE", the more that LE comes down on providers or the site.
No, the way things are now is the best.  People should simply think before they book.  Choose reputable providers, and know how to navigate through unknown ones if you decide to go that route.  All newbies should check out the newbie board, and that should be said right in it.

All people need to do is look closely and apply themselves, and there will never be a problem with LE.

I agree with this method to some extent just to get the rip-offs out of town. I believe TER supports this. We should actively contribute to a list of providers that:

cash/dash
fake photo
ask for a huge tip to go further...
agency (fake independent)
etc...

Also, we should refrain from referring to them as rip-offs. Instead, refer to them as one of the labels listed above. It's more fair to them and accurate. As far as someone trying to bring down a legit provider, it comes with the territory. However, if she's truly a good provider, I don't think 1-2 bad reviews will bring her down; perhaps it will just slow things for her.

BTW, did you hear that salad at Pat & Oscar's restaurants was contaminated with e coli??? Business has dropped sharply. They've resorted to giving away free food for a limited time. Overall, I don't think they will go out of business. I know it's a far-off analogy, but you get the picture.

Overall, newbies should study the reviews and reviewers' history. If they don't want to do the work, then they should not bother joining ter and go to TJ for an easy one. Enough rambling for now.

I would worry as well (e.g., a well-intentioned safe list becoming a "hit list" if publicly available.

FWIW, my first provider here in town gave me a list of 5 ladies that were safe.  I've seen 3 of 5 thus far and found them oh-so-much-better than just "safe."

All I really wanted was safety (i.e., no LE) and no-rip offs.  Her list, though, turned me on to ladies who provided everything my heart desired.  Was $$$ paid?  Yes, but not for sex.  One can not place an economic value on the sexual part of my experiences with the four of them.  $1000?  Too little.  $5000?  Don't know, to rich for me.

I just paid for their time and received in exchange an emotional connection that, while unique to each lady, was worth every penny of the $$$ to $$$$ I paid for their time.

Ladies, I think you know who you are.  THANK YOU!
