Do I have your attention?

Dear Reader,
This is not another mindless post, so if you are a complete idiot leave now or get scared you may learn something..ha-ha (Oh Yes, I did and I don't care )


While checking out the board today I responded to a post that was regarding a hobbyist in search of a companion and he was asking for suggestions.  I am always very apprehensive about posting on this board and TRY to stay out of dramatic, childish conversations.  It shocked me that my initial reaction was to disregard the post in fear of "tooting my own horn" because of the way people may judge my opinion of myself.   And then, I opened up an email that had a quote by Steve Jobs and I had a change of heart. So, I wanted to share this with you; if it doesn't open your eyes or hit at home, no worries.  But to those of you that can take something from you it, I wrote it for you!

Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life.. Don't be trapped by dogma, which is living with the results of someone else's thinking.. Don't let the noise of other people's opinions drown out your own inner voice.. And most important: Have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.. They somehow already know what you truly want to become.." - Steve Jobs

I will apply this to so many aspects of my life but I wish I could have applied it from the very beginning of my start as a provider.  My journey in this business over the last six months has brought to light all of my flaws, all of the things I need to improve on as a person and has shined a light on how concerned I have been with the way people think about me.  There is way too much drama and high school shenanigans that go on in this business.  We are SUPPOSED to be adults and we are all here for different reasons; I love companionship but I don't want a relationship.  I love having multiple partners due to a short attention span, plus each companion contributes a different aspect to my life.  Now I understand that NOT everyone is like me and that is okay but that is what makes the world go around and why so many hobbyists are able to satisfy their needs; variety baby!!  So, if you are a new provider...Toot your own horn, shine like a diamond and don't fall into the trap of staying in the shadows to avoid jealously. Make them jealous and look beyond the opinions of others, develop your own image and don't be shaken.  If you are a hobbyist, explore what you are attracted to; follow the head between your legs.  Sure, read the reviews and take others opinions into consideration but remember the silly politics that these kids like to play...

Steve Jobs also made another interesting statement:

If you live each day as if it were your last, someday you'll most certainly be right.. Since then, I've looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself, "If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I'm about to do today.. And whenever the answer's been no for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.." - Steve Jobs
