Looking to go to some new breakfast spots in north county. any suggestions?

I'd suggest The Chart House in Cardiff, or Solace and the Moonlight Lounge in Encinitas. Both have good food and showcase our area.

Go to the Naked Café in Carlsbad. Their French Toast covered with caramelized coconut is totally unique and out of this world. Lots of other offerings too. Can dine inside or out.
