I have heard of a couple of hot tub locations where you can rent by the hour. I think one of them is called "Tubs"  Can anyone tell me where it is located, what it costs and what kind of place it is. Is it good for a "date"?

Tubs is located on El Cajon Blvd a couple of blocks east of 70th Street on the north side of the road. It is a decent place and reasonably clean with basic rooms starting at around $44.00 per hour or you can upgrade to a more deluxe room for around $60.00 per hour.  I think there might be some kind of cleaning deposit required if I remember right. If you need extra towels, you have to pay for them as well. It's been awhile. I believe they open at around noon everyday and close at midnight, give or take an hour or two, somewhere in that range.  The neighborhood is so so. If you go at night, park on the street near the front of the building and keep your eyes open and your back covered. They are listed in the phone book. Give them a call for details. Happy tubbing!

My impression of the place was that very little (smallest percent) of their business caters to the 'hobby' industry, but rather 'real' couples having a quick hour or two together. I think it's great for the couples who could leave the kids for a couple of hours to 'run errands' - while they make a mad dash for Tubs and have a romantic, 'secret' getaway from the kids; the couple whose schedules are so tight they don't have much time together and so they creatively decided to leave the office and meet at Tubs; the office affair; the new college 'fling', etc, and that's primarily what you see there. I've been there twice, as a 'surprise guest', and my thoughts were not about wanting to be there with a client, but rather, I'd like for both me and mine to be able to get away and go there for a bit. I'm just hardly ever in that area.

Granted, it can be the ideal place for the 'hobby' but that certainly isn't most of their business, and they have worked hard to attain the good reputation they have for running a clean and well organized place.
