Provider references?regular_smile

Hello all!

I'm a new member here, and I've been looking around at some reviews, and sites to get a feel for things. I'm very interested in this entire community. A small problem seems to have presented itself though. Seems that many ladies require a 'provider reference'. I can definately understand the need for that. However, for someone newly getting involved in the community, this poses a problem.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Welcome to San Diego......

You are invited to contact me.  If you provide the info I ask for on my site, no provider reference is needed.  If I am not your cup of tea....I have a couple of girlfriends who don't require provider ref either.  It is actually the very last and often the least valuable tool for safety.

Geez Jenni,

If you weren't a guy's "cup of tea", he'd need to see a therapist really fast. He'd be heading for a rubber room or Hillcrest I'd guess.

Although I have never had the pleasure of spending some time with Jeni, I have seen her in person (her former roommate has moved away who I have seen) and she is one nice looking lady!

The pros and cons of this issue have been discussed many times, without an easy solution coming to light.  Providers certainly have a need and a right to protect themselves.  So do hobbyists.

A warning based upon experience: You are taking a big risk if you give a provider information such as your name, place of work, etc.  LE has found such information more than once during a bust because many providers hold onto this information long after the session is over--it's on their computer or in their "little black book."  Far worse, a hobbyist may be asked to pay for a session again and again and again so that a provider does not "gossip" about you to your boss, wife, etc.  Sadly it happens--as I learned the hard way.  Never, ever again will I give such information to a provider.

It also does not gives providers the security they seek.  Sadly, many providers have been busted after checking references.  LE knows all about screening procedures.  Many providers have been busted after checking personal and employment related information because LE provided a verifable "cover" for its agents.

There was time when I also agreed with many of your fears. However, I now worry very little about giving out such information. If a provider gets busted and LE should find your ame and address.....so what? Even if there is a description of your fetishes, it's no big deal.
Now, if a provider was to video an entire session(including any transaction) that could be a problem. It may also be a problemif a provider was to put a detailed description of the meeting on paper, but I would worry less about that than a video tape.
As far as  blackmail, that is why I prefer to stick with the wonderful females of TER. If any well reviewed provider was to blackmail any TER member, I would like to think that he would somehow relay that to the other members.
I do agree with the fact that some providers have been busted even after a thorough backround check. In this hobby, we all take risks.

I tend to agree with Burt... especially in the SD area where there are so many eager beavers out to spoil a harmless good time. Although LE getting hold of the proverbial black book may come to nothing, I certainly would not want them to connect me with what they consider such a horrendous activity. I doubt they would just toss the info. At the least, I suspect it would all end up in one of their databases. Furthermore, unless I am really missing something, all that info about where you work and etc is so easily faked by LE, the benefit (it seems to me) to a provider in checking it is almost purely psychological. Apart from dreaming about the day when control freaks give up on this one and it is decriminalized, I don’t know what the answer is for hobbyist and provider. As for me, I'll take my fun south of the border.

I would love to hear from you!  Many of my clients enjoyed their first escort experience with me and have become regular clients as a result.  While I do screen clients carefully, I do not ask for provider references whether you are a newbie or not.  I consider them of no value whatsoever.
