Pissed Off!!!

I recently saw a well reviewed local provider and came away feeling less than satisfied. Not becuase she didn't deliver as promised, but because she misrepresented herself in her website pictures. Now I understand that some girls may use stock photos to protect their true identities, but at least make sure that the photos resemble you in some way. If I see a photo of a young looking, drop dead gorgeous, girl next door type then that is what I expect when I book a session. When I show up for the session and find a woman at least 10-15 years older than the girl in the photos then I get pissed off. I almost walked away when she opened the door, but I'm not a complete ass and instead went through the motions all the time fuming about how she had misrepresented herself. In retrospect I shopuld have given her a little something for her time and politely excused myself, but I didn't want to hurt her feelings. I think that this misrepresentation needs to be brought up in reviews more often and the provider's age should be updateable because it is often outdated or just way off base. TER sure let me down this time.

Post about it in the review.  Let people know.

U guys could figure out a way for us to update that whole area of the review.
I have seen quite a few ladies where the physical description, age, and rates are simply WRONG!!!
Is it really that hard to do?

Hey Derek - I totally see your point and agree with everything that you said.  This is not the first time I have seen a post like yours.  There was one not too long ago saying that one of the well-reviewed providers had really old pictures.  Many of her 'fans' were outraged.  Part of the 'pickle' that I see is that some hobbiests (not all) seem to feel obligated to give a good review.  Especially in the situation where a provider knows their TER handle.  When they have your TER handle, AND you have seen them, AND they ask for any kind of personal info in their screening; they pretty much got you by the family jewels.  I know, they say they shred it - NOT.  So Derek, what do you see as the problem.  If you don't feel like posting a response, feel free to PM me.

If you feel strongly about this then just lay it all out there for everyone to see in your review. As Staff suggests let people know and/or submit a problem report.

Personally I'm one who puts far less emphasis on appearance scores.
Performance is far more important to me, and in fact performance can actually enhance a provider's appearance, make her seem more attractive than her skin deep/what meets the eye physical attributes might reveal to just a casual observer. I would suggest that some reviewers might see things much the same way and that this may account in part for what you and some others would be more likely to perceive as a discrepency in photos on a web site vs the woman who shows up.

I would hope that in writing such a review that you would maintain objectivity to the extent that objectivity is possible in writing a subjective review. I would not deemphasize her performance simply because I was pissed off about photos not being a true representation as you suggest in your post. Stick to the facts.
Don't let emotions get the better of level-headed reason.

I would be leery of comments or advice from visitorsfriend
who has no posted reviews himself but wants to chime in on this topic.

Finally, I am using an alias. There have been recent threads debating the use of an alias when posting. One reason is that reviews are linked to your TER handle if you have any reviews.
I would not want to unwittingly cast any aspersions on any providers I may have reviewed simply by virtue of commenting on this topic. Such conclusions may or may not be drawn by some reading this and I simply want to avoid that altogether.

I mean recently several of us ladies were "threatened" by a guy whose handle we had and whose information we possessed.

I did shred his information as I do with ALL of your information as soon as we've dated or decided not to date, but since he kept calling me and sending me emails, the information kept showing up on my screen/caller ID and it was easy to remember what job he had and what professional license he held.

He had ALOT to lose, and he'd really crossed the line~~pretty much gone psycho on us.

Of course we could have used that information to counteract his threats, but we all chose to ignore him instead since his threats pretty much held no water.

Part of his "threats" was posting information not only publicly but backchannel that was insulting, rude, inflammatory and ignorant, all lies.

Again, we didn't use his private information against him in his personal life.  We trusted that our friends here on TER would see through his nasty behaviors.

Anyway,  I just don't think any lady that dates via this forum would last a minute if she used information in a way that would hurt any of you for something as silly as correcting her stats on a review.  Something you were honest about.

Maybe I'm super naive.

I do know that some ladies retain information.

I can gaurantee you that anyone who I've dated that hasn't sent me their information after the date by stalking me via email/phone, I don't still have your information and if you honestly review me negatively or positively that's part of the game.

I'd much prefer a guy knows that I have a big butt/legs/hips/stomach prior to meeting me than think I'm some "runway model" and be disappointed with my looks.

To be honest, when somebody reviewed me as a "9" it kinda ticked me off.  Way inflated.  (But I didn't call his work! :P
