Personal viewpoints are seldom if ever rightfully equated to absolute truth.

Some could just as easily suggest that there are too many neo-conservatives in SD county. I doubt that GOD would have anything to do with something as anachronistic as the electoral college. A straight popular vote would be far more representative of the electorate as a whole on National races such as the presidency.

I agree that it is important to get out and vote for reasons beyond the presidential election. That said, this is one of the most important presidential elections this country has faced in decades.

The Frontline program was well done. This documentary series has presented a number of well done documentaries on a variety of issues of the day. Excellent investigative journalism.

for President.  Tonight San Diego KPBS-TV showed Frontline's two hour "The Choice 2004" on the background of Bush and Kerry.  A lot of information you won't easily find anywhere else.
Program repeats:  1)  in two hours, 1 am Wednesday, October 13; 2)  Sunday Oct 17, 3 pm; 3) Monday Oct 25, midnight.

california doesn't matter in this election, so why waste your time?

There are way too many liberals in this state and thank GOD for the electoral college.  I know that some people will not agree with it, but it is what keeps balance in this country from letting the larger states dictate what everyone should go along with.  It is still VERY important to get out and vote because of other issues on the ballot that have nothing to do with the presidential election.  Just vote!

then don't waste it posting here.  Or better yet, move to a country where you won't have the right to vote....then you can use all that brain power thinking about something else.

look at the electoral college map, only about 10 states would decide this election, our California isn't one of them.

First, thanks for what is apparently your first contribution to these boards (at least with that alias).  Second, thanks for the link.
However, you missed my point, as "subtle" as it may have been.  I was responding to the "thought" (he was not really thinking in my opinion) that it would be a "waste of time" to vote here in California.  The "thoughtful" poster, however, has had the time to make numerous posts here.......but he does not want to waste his time by voting????????
My guess is that the poster probably has not not served this country by being in the military.....what is clear is that he has little appreciation of how lucky he is to live here and of how many people have died to preserve his right to vote.

I saw it.  It was an interesting program describing the military, business, and political lives of Bush and Kerry.  Frontline just laid out the facts of the two candidates without being overly biased one way or the other.  I found it useful.
