Not too many nudes at black's beach?

I know they changed San Onofre but, they completely changed blacks too? I admit that I didn't make it there this last summer but was there the summer before and there was plenty of nudity. The nude part however has gotten smaller over the years. Some of my friends told me they where there this last summer as well.
  However, I do agree with you about the weather. Not being clothed this time of year would be extremely uncomfortable brrrrr, even if you are from the snow. Though I have experienced many of the wonderful San Diego gentlemen and believe me, there are plenty who can keep you warm and cozy.

When was the last time you went to Black's on a warm sunny day?  I live by Del Mar and go running from there all the way down to Black's and back (great run & awesome scenery!!) a couple of times a week during the summer.  There are always hundreds of people down there and at least 1/2 to 2/3's are nude or at least topless.  Many of them are pretty easy on the eyes too-- making it a very enjoyable run.  The lifeguards don't pay any attention at all to the nude sunbathers.  Most of the beach seems to have a real fun, friendly, easygoing atmosphere with a lot of nude frisbee, volleyball, swimming and just laying around.
If it's warm-- you'll find folks down there.

black's is still a nude beach, you just have to walk a bit further north to the nude section. it's mostly guys though and a few fat old ladies. the lifeguards and police do not hassle at all. the weather can change from day to day, but for the most part there are people laying out at the beaches almost every day

If you read the link I provided you'll see that he's very precise in defining where nudity is legal.  The problem is the distinction between what's officially Black's Beach and what's commonly known as Black's Beach (a few yard north).

By mid January we should be having at least 50% warm, spring-like days if this year is typical

I tend to disagree with you, Mike.  Though I've never been to Black's Beach myself, I spent a few years in Canada on the Saskatchewan praries.  I've seen chill factors of over 100 below.  On the other hand I've also been colder down here in the low sixties and below that in -20C (0F) up there.  The main difference is the humidity, but there are a few of us around who really know what cold is!!...and I, for one, am very glad I'm here!
