@Phi68psi:
I personally always try to send a quick thank you text or an email, if I have that,
as soon as they depart out the door.
However, if I'm headed out as well thereafter, and am pressed for time, if I miss that
"window of opportunity", then I'm hesitant to do so simply because I'm rarely
informed as to whether the phone they carry is a "throw phone", or personal.
Sometimes, I get an immediate response. Sometimes I get a later email.
On the very rare occasion, I get "crickets", when I damn well know we had hours of intense
connection, but that "window" has closed.
The throw phone is back in the workplace locker.
Should I send a later text, which could be read by the gents S.O.?
The answer is a resounding "NO"!!
I certainly wouldn't desire to be the wrench in the proverbial Hobbyist's extracurricular activities!
All hell may break loose, and it would be my unfortunate fault.
"I was raised by my Mother to be admired", and I always display proper manners and etiquette.
However, in this instance of showing my appreciation for one's visit,
I throw the question back into your lap @Phi68psi, {this is a great convo-starter Sir},
and to others;
Do you care? Does it influence your return?
Is it like purchasing drive-thru food at the local Ruth Chris, where you've had your exquisite purchased meal, and you're on to the next varietal delicacy?
Do you expect a discount coupon upon the next "dining affair"?
Do you get one from your Dentist, your Plumber, your Doctor, your Lawyer?
Do you wish to keep it all in the separate, obscured, realm of what it all really is?
It's just a meeting, a date, a chance encounter of sharing one's essence for an hour or three,
never to be shared again, like two leaves blowing in the wind?
Or do you secretly wish to have that oft-elusive connection, a confidant, a naughty paramour
with NSA, whom you turn to when the S.O. becomes unaffectionate, unforgiving, and well,
"closed for business"!? lol {funny, but really, not funny}
Thoughts? Let's play "nice" here Ladies & Gentlemen!
