Is anyone else still having to double click to get onto TER?
It's been happening since they did some updates a week or so ago. I know it's not my PC. Because it's happened on a few I use.
Unless it a program issue????

Could you describe exactly what you mean when you say you are "still having to double click to get onto TER?"

I use FireFox and am not having any problems.

I use IE 6 and have it in my favorites and don't have to double click.  Here is the link in my favorites.  It get's me by the "agree" opening page.

although I was having the exact same issue you seem to be having. Is it all the time, Jai, or only occasionally?

When I go to enter TER... on the first try I will get a "cannot find page".
So I'll hit or type it in again. Then I get the website.
Just odd, because I havent changed anything on my PC or laptop. Just started after the other weekend when they were doing some work on the site.
I cleared, refreshed.. all that.
So I dunno... this morning I got right on.
I don't know why it won't pull the site up on the first try. Maybe it's cleared up now.
Dang technology.... my digital home phone service never works right either.
"Jai is experiencing techincal difficulites" lolz

The symptom you are describing sounds like it may be related to your ISP and their DNS server.  Occasionally I will get a cannot find page but it's not anything that happens on a frequent basis.

Sorry for the nerdy explaination but that is what your symptom sounds like.  The DSN server is basically the computer that changes "www.theeroticreview.com" into an IP address.  Your ISP probably has more than one of these servers but if  you have your IP assigned automatically the DNS server is assigned automatically too.

Maybe we should get together soon and try to fix it!

(I Am Not A Computer Whiz! Plus I use FireFox and not Internet Explorer since FireFox is faster and not as prone to glitches.)

Try clearing the cache & the history.  I've heard that Internet Explorer sometimes gets confused when trying to load a page that is in its cache (storage location of previously viewed web sites).

From the main menu, choose:
Tools | Internet Options

Then click on the following buttons:
Delete Cookies
Delete Files
Clear History

Good Luck!

Now I've started to notice the very same issue. When I click to reload a page or access a page for the first time I keep getting an error message. Then if I hit "Reload" the page appears. I cleared my cache and history and still the same. So I wonder.....who is also using Cox? As someone mentioned earlier...maybe it's their servers? Just a thought.

It seems to have a mind of its own. Yesterday fine.. today doing it again. Very odd.
I love techie talk.. and understand the DNS thing. That does make sense.
I don't think there is much else I can do on my end.
Something in the updating they did must have thrown out some cliche.
At least I do get on....
