I increase my VIP time by submitting problem reports. For 10 years I have paid for 90 day periods and in a typical three-month period I often receive 30 days and more additional free time. While the large percentage of my reports relate to bad/new ad links and phone number changes, some do involve profile changes.
Here is my experience:
1) Because filling out the form involves clickable choices, it is easy to make a mistake.
A reviewer must move the cursor ouside of the box and click there to avoid have
a selection rotate to the next possible choice when hitting a down-arrow. I recall submitting at least one review with such a mistake and had to request TER to change it.
(For ladies who have never gone to the submit-a-review form just to see how it looks: except for the general & juicy details and reviewer's "atmosphere" description, it is not "fill in the blanks".)
TER now leaves a review in limbo for a time (2-3 days as I recall) to allow a reviewer
to change it. That procedure started a few years ago, presumably because staff was wasting time making changes for mistakes realized by reviewers after the review went online.
2) Until recently, profile changes for women I had seen were made; in at least one case I had not submitted a review and explained why. I can only guess that paying for VIP (rather than trying to obtain it solely via problem reports) may have helped my credibility.
I have ALWAYS had a report accepted if a lady lists a service in her personal website that is not listed in her TER profile. I include the link to make TER's job easier.
(Ladies: take note. As "bbqboss" pointed out, many of us use TER's database search capabilities in making our selections. For me, every week or so I search on "BBBJ,
CIM, and no-implants" to see if any new ladies meet my criteria. Having a personal website in which you list specific services can result in more clients.)
In the past year or so, at least once TER's response was "have the provider contact us".
In my experience, the response from TER is "ymmv"....understandable, especially if
the servers and staff are somewhere else in the world where English is not the first language.
3) TER's policy changes overtime, even without it being stated anywhere. The biggest example is that many reviews are now being accepted with performance scores of more than "7" when nothing in the details conforms to the long-ago-established (illogical, in my opinion) requirements that justify higher scores. That policy seems to have been relaxed or ignored within the past several years.
However, within the past few months I have had problem reports accepted for pointing out that the performance score was too high. Also, the TER response to one of my reviews was that I needed to specify in the details to justify my service selection. (I selected "yes" for anal but neither said I engaged in that service nor did I state that I had asked the provider.)
4) As has been said many times before, reading all of the reviews is the best way to avoid disappointment. When different reviewers have reported different services (e.g., CBJ vs. BBBJ) I often email/PM providers when reviews state "conflicting" services. More often than not I receive a response back.
Fellows: do the other guys a favor and specify in the review if, for example, CBJ was your selection even though the lady offered BBBJ. A few of the vets do so, but apparently with the advent of so-called "smart" phones some reviews seem to have been submitted "on the fly".
