So I'm new to the hobby (about 3 months) and I've been browsing a lot of the discussion boards and I came across the topic of meet and greets.

Is it just providers and hobbyists getting together to hang out?  What is the dress code?  How do you get invited? etc.

I haven't found a recent San Diego meet and greet coming up but I'd love to be able to attend one of these meetings.

For those of you who have attended, please tell us your experiences and if it was worth attending.

There are other local Boards which meet pretty regularly. But for TER when it comes to MnG it seems LA is our only option. The LA scene is usually a huge turn out - worth the drive.  

As a Newbie - to get an invite you're gonna need to see some ladies and get a rep. Hosts of MnG will screen you just like a lady will if you haven't been around for a while.  

I'm a fan of the MnG - immediate clarification of things like "is she photoshopped" and you get a great read on personality. At the last LA event I attended, met two extremely popular ladies who I immediately took a pass on based on their voices alone. Saw several ladies that no where resembled their pics. Others who I'd introduce myself to and they'd instantly blow me off. You can cull through all the ad chatter in an instant and zero in on who you like and who you think you click with.  And it's second to none when it comes to people watching lol
